Andalusian Country Retreat

Surrounded by nature and nature only, it's a perfect destination for people who seek peaceful and relaxing holiday in the sun. Not far from the beautiful white village of Montefrio and 1 hour drive from Alhambra in Granada, we are an ideal choice for people who wish to combine sightseeing with relaxing by the pool. Spectacular hiking and mountain biking trails are available on site. The swimming pool is open from May until the end of September and it's shared with another couple.

Our guests love the peaceful location and healthy lifestyle that you will experience while at Cortijo Berruguilla. In the summer, you can enjoy fresh fruit and vegetables from our own garden.

Upstairs there is a double bedroom with a king sze bed. The private bathroom features traditional Granadian ceramics and views over the olive groves. Downstairs is a living room with a double sofa bed, a cosy fireplace. There is a private stone patio ideal for sunbathing, relaxing, or barbecuing.
Guests can enjoy a Smart TV and stay connected with free WiFi. Other standard amenities include a private pool, a kitchen, and a washing machine.

Roomy, functional, clean, relaxing stay. Great indoor and outdoor spaces, efficient wood stove, scenic setting well-suited for walks straight from the door. (See All Trails app - where we added 2 walks). Interesting and gracious hosts who provided all we needed, made us feel at home, and shared their knowledge and experience of the area so that we could enjoy our stay at a somewhat deeper level. Robert and Sabina also suggested many activities, day trips, and local restaurants within a 25 min to 1 hour drive from the property. You don't have to drive far to enjoy local highlights, but then again, you might not want to leave! Four nights didn't seem like enough for us. This was one of the best stays of month-long trip in Andalucía.

Great people and beautiful environment!

We truly enjoyed staying at the apartment. It has a nice and spacious living area with a well equipped kitchen, proper sleeping couch for kids and upstairs a large bedroom and bathroom. The apartment overlooks the hills with olive trees and the owners will provide wood to be used in the indoor fire place or outdoor BBQ. The town of Montefrio has multiple supermarkets and Cordoba and Granada are within reasonable driving distance. The owners speak English, are very nice and will take you up the hills to walk back, make a lunch/dinner reservation, or will just have a chat.

Desconexión vacacional en sitio idílico

Si pasas por Montefrio, sin duda es una gran opción para quedarte. Estas en un sitio aislado con mucha tranquilidad y tienes unas vistas nocturnas preciosas. La piscina esta genial y esta todo muy bien iluminado y limpio. Como únicas pegas, decir que hay muchas avispas por la zona y que no tenía microondas, por lo demás 10/10.

Rustig, hartelijk en genoeg te zien en te doen

Het huis lag op een fantastische plek, rustig, met prachtige uitzichten. Door de hoge ligging zijn de nachten aangenaam koel. Er was mogelijkheid voor veel culturele uitstapjes naar bijvoorbeeld Granada (Alhambra) en Cordoba, allemaal goed te bereiken. Het huis zelf was van alle gemakken voorzien, alles was schoon en het zwembad was fijn. Wij waren met ons gezin (dochters 16 en 18) en hadden de mogelijkheid beide appartementen te huren. Robert en Sabina zijn erg hulpvaardig, attent, hartelijk, geven tips en Robert bracht ons met zijn auto naar boven op de berg en wij wandelden tussen de olijfbomen terug, prachtig!
