We had the pleasure of spending a weekend at Le Sommet des Neiges in June. The staff were exceptional - the manager, Nathalie, ensured that our stay was excellent. Our family suite was very well appointed - full kitchenette (with dishwasher!), relaxing balcony, terrific washroom with shower and a huge soaker tub, fireplace. The location is directly adjacent to the panoramic gondola, and a quick walk to many other summer activities (luge, euro bungee, shops/restaurants ), but at the same time it is far enough removed to be a peaceful and more quiet setting. Overall, excellent value for your dollar! We very much look forward to our next stay at Sommet des Neiges.
Always something interesting to see and do, this time the blues festival, & we actually tried ziplining for the very first time and loved it ❤️❤️❤️, staff excellent, concierge knowledgeable, rooms clean and sommet de neiges is so close to restaurants activities but far enough away from the brouhaha!
This was our third year visiting Tremblant over Christmas and our first time at Le Sommet des Neiges. We were a group of two families with children. Upon arrival, the front desk personnel were able to get us nearby rooms on the same floor, even upgrading ours along the way. The ski locker room that led right to the gondola area was very convenient, and the underground parking had the highest ceiling clearance we had ever seen at hotels. The rooms were clean and the beds were very comfortable. Thank you for a wonderful stay. We will definitely be returning.
The reservation and registration were quick and simple. The room was very large and comfortable. The bedroom was also large and it had a very comfortable bed. The bathroom was well appointed and functional. However, the WiFi was not functional at all.
This hotel is perfect for every kind of travelers (solo, couples, friends, family). Walking distance to everything and right off the slopes of Tremblant. The scenery is amazing and my recommendation is to ask for the top floor so you can overlook all the ski village. The rooms are well equipped and comfortable. I rented some snowboard equipment and hit the slopes and pampered myself with good food (Fairmont has the best restaurants in my opinion) and massages. There are lots of activities for everyone and you really can't miss this place regardless of you ski or not.
The duration of the stay was without issues, however check-in and amenities are what I had an issue with. Staff: Most of the staff was very helpful and serving, however check-in was a hassle. We arrived early, knowing that our room would not be ready, however still expecting a 4 PM check-in, as per our reservation. We still did our pre-check-in so that we could park our car and put some foods in their luggage room fridge. This is rather important, as we were traveling with a 3 year old and a 10 month old. After walking around the village and doing multiple trips up and down the "Cabriolet" we went back to the hotel to kill time in the play room. At 4, I went to check and our room was still not ready. Was advised that it would be another 5 min. However, they would not proceed with our check-in. Around 4:30, our room was ready, and so was our 10 month old, who was exhausted and extremely grumpy. Now, I understand that things happen outside of their control, but being Easter Weekend and Sold-out, I would expect: 1. They would take into consideration the staff level to accomodate a sold-out hotel 2. Would have a manager on site as well if issue do arise (they didn't, until Sunday). When I talked to someone at the front desk, I was advised that they could have moved us to another room, but that would have caused another reservation to be in the same position as us... and didn't address the situation really. When I was able to talk to someone from management, to explain our displeasure, this was done only @ our checkout, on Sunday. The other reason is their internet access. 1. Internet access is limited to 2 devices per unit. Although a bit dated in technology, I can understand due to all the various medium of streaming and using available networking. 2. What is not made apparent is that you are also limited to 200 Mb per connection (Site advises bandwith limitation may apply.... but this is 2017, not 2001 when internet broadband was new). 3. When you want to pay for an upgrade, the site charges you in US$. This was a big contentious issue.. The major internet providers pride themselves on the "BEST" internet service (either speed, reach or quality)... so why is it an american company that is managing their internet. From what I have seen, this is common practice in tremblant. Lastly, and no fault of the hotel, if you want a mountain view during winter, be ready to be woken up by the hill groomers at 5 AM.. :S Recommendation, Yes, it is a great ski in/out location and close to all activities... however, I would not go back with my family until they are at the age to Ski, and even then... I would go with AirBnB instead.
Great location, but from what i saw, all the hotels in the village are great locations. its a matter of preference as to if you want to be at one far end as this is, or the other end, or somewhere smack in the middle like the Marriott is. We had a two bedroom suite which was enormous. 2 bathrooms, full kitchen, very big common space, and two balconies. the room has some very visible wear too it but for a ski lodge it was fine. Not much to do in the hotel, no restaurant or bar but right outside are a cluster of bars and restaurants. If you want more upscale, the Westin is worth looking into.
We stayed in a two bedroom suite during our stay and were pleasantly surprised to learn it was two levels - bedrooms downstairs and kitchen/living room upstairs. The beds were very comfortable and the kitchen had everything needed to cook meals in-room. Our favourite part was the location of the hotel. First, the ski lockers are literally a few steps away from the main gondola. Second, the ski school where our son went for ski camp was right next door. Third, if you are renting equipment, the rental shop (and ski school sign up) is literally next door as well, on the other side. Fourth, if you want to walk around the village, the people mover is also just a two minute walk away from the ski locker/entrance. You couldn't ask for a better location if you are here for a ski vacation! We wish this hotel had a pool, but the aqua club is close enough (5-8 min walk). We would definitely stay here again.
Staff was good, didn't matter where you were it was loud as it seemed most parents let the hotel grounds be the babysitter. Excellent location for skiing/events. Only worth the extra cash if your planning on staying the week and actually bringing your own groceries. Spending the day/night in the village away from the hotel was the only thing that made our 4 hour trip up worth it. Don't forget to check out the real village about 10 minutes away where food and drink prices are a little more reasonable for your dollar. Maids only cleaned up half our room also.
My wife and I recently returned from Mont Tremblant and we have to say that our stay at the Sommet des Neiges was perfect! The room was clean, spacious and the bed was very comfortable. The front desk was helpful and friendly. The kitchenette worked well for a small breakfast (there is a small Kuerig in the kitchen) before skiing and the fireplace was nice to come home to after a day on the slopes. The ski lockers on the lower level made storing ski's easy and the ski rentals are attached to the resort. The lifts were steps from the resort! The village was within easy walking distance which made it easy for shopping and dinner at the various restaurants. The general store was a great place to pick up breakfast food, snacks and wine. We will definitely return to Sommet for our next trip to Tremblant!
