About this property

Stone Cottage - At the Donkey Tower, below the castle

🏰 Felsenhäuschen Monschau – Living in the Castle The Felsenhäuschen is located right within the historic Monschau Castle complex, next to the Eselsturm. Built in 1586 and meticulously restored, it uniquely combines history with modern comfort. Old rubble-stone walls, exposed beams, and thoughtful details create an atmosphere where you can feel the past while enjoying the highest level of comfort. The house features two stylishly furnished vacation apartments: • “Am Eselsturm unter der Burg” apartment (upper floor): bathed in natural light, with a magnificent view of the valley and Monschau’s old town. • “Fachwerkest an der Burg” apartment (first floor): cozy and quiet, with historic charm and modern design. Right outside the door: the old town with its half-timbered houses, the Eifelsteig trail, the Eifel National Park, and the Monschau Festival. A special place for people seeking history, nature, and tranquility—and the unique feeling of living in a castle.
The apartment is heated and features a kitchen and space to spread out with 2 bedrooms.
