Beautiful Terrace But...

The rooftop terrace and the neighborhood were amazing! That said, the apartment left much to be desired. The bathroom was so small one had to sidestep in (not too unusual in Italy) but the toilet had no seat and the shower so small picking up the shampoo was a problem. There were no amenities provided--only one roll of toilet paper, no soap or shampoo. We were only able to get clean towels/linens once a week and that was because of our persistent requests. The apartment is set up with a platform bed and a futon. For nighttime convenience sake, we chose to sleep on the futon which ended up being quite comfortable. All in all, being in the historical center of Monopoli was the highlight of our visit. Everything one could want is literally outside the front door, only steps away.
