Probably least favourite Parador on this tour. Easy to find and plenty of free parking. The Parador just seemed a soulless. Staff did their job but no more. We had our evening meal at the restaurant just down the hill,5 minute walk. just because it was there and we wanted a change from parador food. Breakfastt was Ok but only one one member of staff on duty and she looked a bit harassed.

This hotel is in a great location on top of a hill with views across the valley. It is in a lovely old building. The rooms are good with twin beds for us. The light switches are a bit confusing to sort out. The staff were excellent. Very friendly and obliging. My only complaint would be that the breakfast was very average with one staff member having to manage it all on her own. Apart from that, a great experience.

We had a great stay here. Exceptionally comfortable room with stunning views across the landscape. Short walk into town. The place is beautifully restored and very comfortable. Comfortable beds and well-appointed bathroom. The breakfast buffet was excellent.

We were recommended to come here for a drink so we did. The bar is set just off the cloisters which are very picturesque, but the bar itself doesn’t offer stunning views of the valley as you would expect, instead it is rather a dark room with high windows so when you are seated you cannot see out. We were the only guests so it is a shame that the barman didn’t busy himself cleaning up, as it wasn’t a clean area with tissues and crumbs under other tables, the newspapers were disheveled and the bar quite untidy. Also, why have a tv on in such a lovely setting, play music softly or nothing at all, but a tv like a sport bar?? The receptionist was very smiley and welcoming.

Stayed at the Parador during my Camino de Invierno. Truly loved the hotel, the restaurant, and a nice jacuzzi to enjoy after a long day of walking. I will definitely stay at the Parador again soon. The location is awesome, yo are above the city, and very near to multiple tourist actividad ( all wishing walking distances)

I booked this Parador 10 months in advance for a family of three walking winter camino. I was offered Pilgrim rate which I think was about 10% less than normal price. On arrival we found out that it was "Pilgrims special" room as well - i.e. the added room in the attic with no windows. It was a pleasant October evening, but in the rest of the building it was rather chilly, so the air conditioner was off. The temperature in our room however was about 30C. The maid who came to make the sofa bed said that it was unbearable. Moreover she could not turn off the hot radiator in the bathroom. When we complained to the reception, it appeared that the hotel is fully booked and three of us including 2 asthmatic people had to stay in the overheated room with no fresh air for the night. Apparently the problem was well known to the hotel and they said that we were supposed to receive an email advising us about this particular room. We have no communication whatsoever. Moreover, the room was filthy dirty. The soda bed was very small and very old.It was was not fit for sleeping for an adult. The dust was on the soft furniture and beams. It was by far the most unpleasant and uncomfortable stay ever. Staying at various Paradores and usually enjoying the experience this was the most uncalled for betrayal of customers' trust. Needless to say, there were rooms available at the hotel on the night - as was confirmed by the maid, who even attempted to argue with a manager but even a complaint to central office didn't make the local manager actually do something to resolve the problem. Blunt cheating.

This hotel has some serious atmosphere . We were so impressed to pull into this parador. We also ate at the restaurant which was delicious and staff very hard working.Breakfast was a varied buffet, beautifully presented. Everyone should have the experience of staying in a 17th century monastery at least once. Loved it.

great views. modern rooms with a historical building surroundings. Very good restaurant at the hotel and another one nearby on top of the hill.We stayed at this Parador as it was the closest to our start of El Camino. Liked so much that we stayed there two nights and arranged for driving to/from El Camino

After walking the Camino our stay here was a touch of luxury and old world charm of a 17th century monestary. No need to walk to town for dinner as here was quality, tasty food at reasonable prices with good service. Breakfast was an excellent buffet with soft background classical music played. The hotel staff at Reception were particularly welcoming and helpful.

Servers were ok, needed more help. Access to the pool is a disaster waiting to happen. The surroundings by the pool needed maintenance, not many chairs, no lifeguard, towels at reception. Where do you put them when you’re done?
