Pretending to be something it is definitely not

We booked this hotel for it supposed good restaurant only to be told it was shut as chef was away,so we eat in a pizza takeaway. The bar is a tiny room in the basement with three chairs,it was suggested that we have a drink outside which was even less appealing with two chairs a dead tree and dog muck. Our bedroom was dark,the beams made of polystyrene,the separate toilet was not possible to use without the door open if you are over 6 ft.the bath just big enough for a child. Breakfast was overpriced at 18 euros,no yogurt and served by a women who quite frankly should not be in the hospitality business.We will not be returning to this establishment !

En route to South of France

An old village hotel in a pleasant setting just off main thoroughfare. We were well received and made very comfortable. The only issue that was of concern is that we were quite tired after a day's driving and the excellent evening meal had to be taken at leisure. We waited almost an hour before we got our first course in a small beautiful dining room which have every appearance of being adequately staffed. The delays may have been a result of the meal requiring the culinary skills of one particular chef.

I have travelled to over 54 countries ranging from Singapore, Norway, Colombia and South Africa to mention a few. In all my travels I have never experienced such a romantic and charming hotel as the Auberge du Choucas. We arrived far later than expected but was greeted in an exceptionally warm manner by the owner. For those of you who wants a peaceful and utterly charming hotel, this is it.

Un séjour mitigé à l'auberge du Choucas.

Nous sommes mitigés concernant notre séjour dans cet établissement. L'accueil à la réception s'est très bien passé, avec un personnel souriant et chaleureux. L'hôtel, bien que non moderne, possède un style à l'ancienne qui lui confère un certain charme. La chambre était correcte, mais les équipements, comme le sèche-cheveux, mériteraient d'être modernisés, surtout pour un hôtel classé 4 étoiles. En revanche, nous avons été déçus par le service au restaurant. Les plats, bien que bons, sont assez chers, et les boissons, même les plus simples, atteignent des prix surprenants (6€ pour une limonade, le même prix qu'un verre de vin). De plus, bien que les serveurs soient gentils, leur faible maîtrise du français a rendu la communication compliquée. Enfin, nous avons été témoins d'un comportement regrettable de la part de la patronne, qui n'hésite pas à réprimander ses employés devant les clients. Cela a créé un malaise général et terni l'ambiance de notre repas. En résumé, un établissement avec du potentiel, mais des points importants à revoir, notamment la gestion et le rapport qualité-prix.

Pas convaincue

Hôtel annoncé comme 4 étoiles sur la devanture, mais ne correspond pas du tout. A notre arrivée, pas de clé de chambre, les précédents clients sont partis avec et c’est l’unique clé de la chambre, pas de double. Dans l’obligation de demander à la réception à chaque fois que nous souhaitons sortir. Pas de badge non plus pour rentrer le soir quand l’accueil est fermé, nous devons téléphoner pour qu’on nous envoie quelqu’un qui nous ouvre l’hôtel ainsi que notre chambre. Pas de parking privé, on se gare à 5 minutes à pieds. Local à ski tout petit, pas de place pour les chaussures de ski que l’on remonte donc en chambre. Chambre correcte, lit confortable, salle de bain et wc minuscules. Pas de possibilité de faire une boisson chaude en chambre. Petit déjeuner buffet de 8h à 10h, la salle est superbe par contre en descendant à 9h30 absence de viennoiseries et impossible d’en avoir d’autres. Ceci a été rectifié le lendemain, il fallait demandé les viennoiseries aux serveurs…

Un hôtel 4 étoiles sans parking...surprise du jour!.. Être obligés de chercher une place pour notre véhicule dans les rues étroites de Monetier...Pas facile. Être obligés de trainer valise et sacs dans les rues de Monetier ...merci pour les personnes âgées! . Salle de bain et WC d'une surface digne d'un "Formule 1" Cet hôtel ne mérite pas 4 étoiles. Non recommandé.

Hotel cosy et plein de charme

Hotel Relais du Silence mérite bien son nom car vraiment très calme.Bien situé dans le centre du village avec un très beau jardin où sont disposés de très agréables fauteuils. L'intérieur désuet a du charme et donne à l'hôtel un coté très cosy et hors du temps. Attachant. L'ensemble du personnel est extrêmement aimable et aux petits soins.Les repas sont excellents, originaux et classiques à la fois, un vrai régal.Bravo au chef. La propriétaire très présente , veille au bien être de ces clients. Seul bémol, l'étroitesse des wc et salle de bains.Propreté parfaite .

Le chef cuisinier vous exécute des plats divins

J'ai été déçu de la literie et des coussins. Il faudrait prévoir de les changer car ils ont fait leur temps. Mes draps ont été changé le deuxième jour cela me paraît inutile car je séjournais 3 jours par contre le 2 ième jour mon lit et la poussière ont été omis d'être fait, seul les poubelles ont été vidé Le personnel est au petit soin compétents et serviables La restauration est excellente

Hotel comfort, tranquille a l'ancien.

The bed was excellent, room quiet. The hotel Restraunt has bourgeois pretentions but the food is good and home made.
