Stay for 4 days during our company annual convention in Monaco last January. Located just across the Football Stadium of AS Monaco will be the perfect place to stay if you want to watch a game. The room is clean and food quite good. Lobby not too big and lift was old and too small. Location ia good; near to bus stop and walking distance to commercial area i.e McDonald and Carrefour.
Really comfortable spacious rooms, friendly efficient staff. Nice dining room, good menu, food presented well but...no taste. The food literally was tasteless, no natural flavour and un seasoned. One meal I tried,Duck Breast and Prawns. Looked really attractive but honestly had no flavour at all! The hotel is good and comfortable and I recommend it but...eat out.
We enjoyed our stay but the room was 25 Celsius overnight as we had no control over the room temperature. We tried it with heating/fan on low and no heating - no heating was finally the solution. We did ask maintenance for help/request to turn down the temperature but no change. We ended up keeping the door open but did not want to leave it open while sleeping so rather uncomfortable. Rest of stay was wonderful. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Gold members received one sparkling and one still water per day - really great especially for late arrival night. Breakfast or 750 points for Breakfast - loved having the option of points. Great location with lovely views - would definitely recommend paying extra for a marina view. There is a huge Carrefour supermarket a short walk away to buy water, delicious cheese and bread and literally anything you need. A bakery, chocolate store, florist, etc. just outside the supermarket entrance. A McDonald's for those who cannot live without it (we hate it). Love that they have done away with mini-bar and provided an empty fridge instead. You can either walk via the supermarket to Monaco/Monte Carlo or take a bus which stops a couple of metres from the hotel or walk along the waterfront. It is also a nice walk to the castle and to the station - about 20 minutes or again you can take a bus. Frequent trains to Nice and Menton. We paid 8,80 EUR return trip for 2 of us to Nice and 6,60 EUR return trip to Menton so a very affordable base. Will definitely return again. Thanks to the friendly staff at the front desk.
Great rooms, with great views, and very centrally located/walkable to all the major sites. Traveled with two couples. What set our experience apart was the exceedingly friendly and helpful staff at the concierge desk. Sometimes at large flagship hotels, there tends to be a stuffiness and lack of enthusiasm among staff. That was not the case here. Auriane at the front desk was especially kind. She made suggestions, answered questions, and took her time helping us get settled in. We were very appreciative and will surely be back.
Well, we have been welcome guests at the Riviera Marriott La Port de Monaco for a number of years, the word Port de Monaco says it all, The Marriott faces the port and what a view it has, the sea and beautiful motor/sail boats. The hotels location is perfect, short walks to the beaches, a very nice 10/15minute walk to the center, or take the FREE hotel shuttle, we choose to walk as its a pretty walk with things to visit on the way to the center. Saying that, there is much to do in the Hotel, it has a nice pool, restaurant, cafe/bar etc etc. Recommend to choose a sea view room, not much difference in the price between a mountain view or sea view room, well worth the extra cost!! All the staff are well above the norm, and most of all is Auriane Maury the guest relations manager finds nothing to much trouble. Well done to everyone at the Riveria Marriott, Happy New Year. Wonderful stay in Nov 2017. Staff from shuttle driver to front desk and quality supervisor are above average in customer service comparing to other Marriot hotels worldwide. Breakfast buffet for Gold members is excellent. Thank you and we had an amazing stay.
I have stayed in this hotel over 40 nights this year and have been going there for the last 7 years. It is really my kind of place. Food for dinner has always been challenging but this year it really improves drastic so that I even preferred it over my regular dinner hangouts. However, breakfast service has been consistently a disaster over the 7 years. Food on buffet is excellent but do not try to get a cup of coffee. That is a challenge
I was here for a weekend only with my daughter and 2yr old grandson and had a great stay. Perfect for our one day Monaco escapade. Their staff is very helpful to arrange our transfers from airport to our chosen tourist spots plus where to eat. Almost all staff were very friendly except for their cleaning lady in the toilet at the lobby area.. she was rude and somewhat irritating asking me to clean the watermarks on the lavatory (faucet water runs so strong.. i cant control it) . At first i didnt know she was the cleaning lady til i saw her picking up the garbage and checking each toilet seats. Anyway i cleaned up the wet sink as ordered by her to the dismay of my daughter. I wont let her spoil a fabulous Monaco weekend ! Theres only one problem though .. transport from Nice airport to Monte Carlo is more expensive than our hotel room coz of the baby car seat we require. And sad to say the car seat on our travel back to Nice wasnt safely installed by the driver .. who happens to be ignorant about baby car seats..(airport transfer is a 3rd party not Marriotts) .
Really nice hotel with fantastic view from the rooms. The breakfast was really good with a lot to choose from. Friendly staff and good service. Free shuttle to 4 different places in Monaco. I really recommend this hotel.
The personal is very friendly the hotel is clean and nice location . WiFi , parking garage . Clean rooms but the style not up to date . All in all good, but the rooms really need a up to date . I stay there and real feel welcome . Compliments to all the team .
