We stayed in this hotel as a group to celebrate the 60th birthday of a friend. The staff were friendly, but not all spoke sufficient English. The rooms are clean, large and comfortable, but the beds are extremely hard. The location is fantastic: Immediately at the waterfront and in walking distance from the beach, old city and bus stop. The hotel has a very nice pool and gym. We payed a bit less than 200 Euro per night for a suite for 4, which had 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, 1 WC and a living room with kitchen and a large balcony with view on the sea. I would definitively go there again.
Positive points: great location, having kitchen in your room was convenient Negative: internet was horrible and was cut after 23:00 and before 7AM, the man at the reception was very rude (ladies were more friendly), room was not very clean, bed was not comfortable. Overall conditions of the room is poor
I have booked a room through Booking.com for 5 days for a cost of 1600 eur (!!!) the only one available unfortunately for those dates. Due to unexpected events I had to cancel my stay 24 hours before. I called the hotel before doing that so I can see if I can get total or part reimbursed and they asked me to cancel my booking with booking.com as soon as possible and that they will pass on my reimbursement request to the management to maybe reimburse me at least for 3 days out of 5. After 3 days they told me that they can't reimburse me because I haven't cancelled 48 h before arrival. I called the manager of the hotel but she told me that's the policy that I have agreed on, which is true but then they should've told me that when I asked if I cancel would I get my money back??? The only reason they gave me hope on getting reimbursed was so I can cancel my booking with booking.com so they can resell the room again. I wouldn't book this hotel ever again or use booking.com. Regards, Mira Lemak
This hotel is located in a great location overlooking some fabulous boats in the port with room looking out directly on to the port. The hotel staff were extremely helpful and pleasant throughout our stay. The rooms however need some attention. They are a great size but decor is very dated and bathroom could have been cleaner, was bit of Mould in the corner seals and shower leaked through the wall in to the lobby area of the room.
I spent 2 nights with my husband and son in Le Quai des princes last week. This is one of the worst hotels we've stayed in. It is in need of a desperate renovation. The room was not clean, even after requesting room service and towels on the rack (supposedly clean and new) were dirty with a shewing gum on one of them!!! Almost no wifi! You have to call the reception to reboot the router every now and then.
Food: Bad and poor no variety Staff: friendly and helpful Nice view in the room Bed NOT comfortable Not to far from the center... no mini bar!! Swimming pool is too small Not to much clean... wifi is so bad.....
We were booked here for 1 night before going on a cruise. Considering the cost of the cruise we felt very disappointed with the hotel choice the cruise company booked us. We checked in ok and were shown to our ground floor apartment and our friends were also in a ground floor apartment. The apartments were very dated , and the bathroom had a huge bath but you had to step down into it which was quite difficult with nothing to hold on too. The bed was very low but fairly comfortable. The only good thing about this place was the view from our room overlooking the Marina and also the pool on the roof of the building. Breakfast was an extra charge and didn't look that great so we went to a neighbouring hotel and paid for breakfast. The hotel did have free wifi. Both our friends room and our room had problems with the locks on the patio doors which the staff didn't seem that bothered about, hence we never left anything of value in the room. We would not recommend this hotel.
This location is fantastic, I have been 10x times in Monaco on business over the years and this location was fantastic. It is just outside Monaco in Cap D'Ail. So, very nice and quiet. There is a bus line 3 minutes walk from Hotel and that Bus Line services all of Monaco. There is a full Mall, with restaurants and a Carrefour huge grocery store. The Room itself is vary spacious, very unique room style, quite modern, and as the room is a full self-catering flat, meals can even be made in the room (shopping for all groceries in nearby Carrefour. The room is more like a studio apartment and also has a nice balcony that looks onto the harbor with all Boats in the Marina. Breakfast was more then adequate as buffet with plenty to choose from.
Location was great, views of harbour were excellent. This is a comfortable, clean place to base yourself for discovering the sights of Monaco. The pool is very good with more great views, however.................... The bar was non existent. It amounted to a choice of Perrier water, Coke or Heineken served by the receptionist. There was no WIFI for the whole of our 4 day stay. English TV station: BBC world service only Sadly, if you enjoy a relaxed beer and a snack by the pool you are out of luck. Alcohol and food are banned on the pool terrace.............not even a piece of fruit!!
The reception staff, pool & view from this hotel are exceptional, we stayed in a suite on the 1st floor that was clean apart from a stained & mouldy shower curtain, however the room is in need of a refurb, also the corridors in the hotel are low and somewhat dark and could really benefit from a lighting refurb. This hotel could be perfect as it's in an excellent location to visit Monaco, which is just a 10 minute walk away, the Stade Louis is literally 5 minutes away and there are plenty of good restaurants within walking distance so I would still probably stay here again.
