Monte Carlo Bay Hotel & Resort4.0 out of 5.0

This resort is incredible. Stayed for 2 nights over a bank holiday and had a fabulous time. The resort is situated on the outer edge of Monte Carlo, away from the central tourist attractions, which I found appealing as it meant it was quieter. There is also a regular shuttle from the resort to town centre which is very convenient. The resort has a variety of indoor and outdoor pools, jacuzzis and amenities, such as a casino and night club. There are a number of eating options on the premises. The breakfast is excellent quality and has a wide variety of options. The best part of breakfast is the location which overlooks the ocean and pools. Absolutely stunning in the summer sun. The terrace restaurant is pricey for the options and quality of food, however the pastries and cakes are divine. The Michelin starred restaurant on the premises, Blue Bay is utterly magnificent. It has beautiful views, attentive staff and amazing food. A must do if in Monaco. The staff were always friendly and helpful, always going above and beyond. The rooms are extremely spacious and are fully kitted out. I found the terrace especially lovely, with great views of the sea and city from the sun loungers and sofa. Everything in the room was larger than most European hotels, such as the cupboard space, bathtub, shower, table etc. Literally everything has been thought of, from bathrobes to a nail buffer, so much so that you would not need to ever leave your room. If I had to nitpick, the only flaws I could point out is that the rooms aren’t soundproofed adequately meaning there is occasionally noise of passers by or cleaning staff that filters in from the corridor, and that the mini bar is unnecessarily expensive ie €28 for a small bottle of wine. It is to be expected given that it is Monaco, however it’s just a bit unfortunate that the prices are similar to that of the Michelin starred restaurant in the resort, but lacks the quality. It was an absolutely stunning place and should not be missed. It is worth every cent. I didn’t want to leave and will definitely go back.
Spent many holidays in past 5 years to this hotel. From year to year service slowly declining from 5 stars to 3 stars. 1. Poor breakfast as for holiday hotel with very limited choice of food. Staff to breakfast room absolutely not friendly to clients and treat everybody like they are clients and not you. 2. Prostitutes to lobby like to three star sex house. In previous years there were no more than 2 prostitutes in lobby seating to sofas. Now in the evening minimum 4 to 6. They are greeting you and proposing to spend time together. For sure not a level of top star hotel. 3. Speed internet is 15-20 euros a day. In XXI century top star hotel takes money for WiFi. And for free gives slow internet and no more than 2 gadgets per room. 4. Big clean rooms. But don’t take to city view. From 8 in a morning it is on going huge construction just in front of windows. 4. Nice pool area and from last year access to the sea. Nice place with poor service. After many years, this will be the first time when we realized that it became not friendly and not comfortable for family with kids. And money that you pay for this hotel and for their breakfast are not equal to level of service and quality you get.
Came to Monte-Carlo to watch the Rolex Master's Tennis tournament and stayed at the Monte-Carlo Bay as part of a package that included tickets for the matches. Everything about the arrangement exceeded our expectations. The hotel is stunning. Our room was gigantic with a luxurious bathroom and a private terrace overlooking the water. There were excellent food options in the hotel (including a gelato bar) and lots of players, coaches and people associated with the tour stay there which was very cool. A real resort, you could literally stay on the property for a couple of days, chill by the pool and hit the spa and feel totally pampered. Really a great property..
If tennis is what you want and a Hotel a short walk or free Shuttle then this is the place. Mingle with the players at Breakfast and fine food and drink to be had. Not cheap but top notch service and good concierge. Nice rooms and very great bathroom. My room had large deck. Recommend it to anyone. SMALL workout room and another Hot Tub needed for sure.
This place is just awesome. While on the outskirts of Monaco, still close enough to walk to anything and right on the ocean. Our room was a corner room with great views of the pool and the bay. Bedding, lines, bath products all high quality and the staff is more customer focused than most hotels I have stayed at in Europe. We will be back
A beautiful hotel in a beautiful location. Public buses run up and down the road outside, or you can just walk along the promenade into the centre of the city. In just over ten minutes walking you can be at the foot of the hill where the Cafe de Paris and the Monte Carlo Casino are situated. The Monte Carlo Bay Hotel and Resort is very impressive. The high ceiling lobby makes way to a bar which leads to the amazing and vast outside (and inside) pool area. To the right of the bar is the Casino, and to the left is the restaurant and the impressive Blue Gin bar, which has outside and inside areas and is very nicely decorated, and also has a billiard room. The rooms are lovely, very modern and spacious with high end appliances. Many rooms have good sized balconies with sofas, even the rooms that don't face the sea. Mine faced the indoor pool and the sea could just be seen to the left, but it was still a fantastic view across to the mountains. Breakfast was very nice but this was a corporate private breakfast on the first floor and not the regular breakfast so I cannot comment on that. Highly recommended if you want to spoil yourself in an opulent hotel in an opulent city.
And yes, Ladies and Gentlemen its Monaco, home of the famous Grand Prix and one of The Woman that was loved like no other, the one and only Grace Kelly!! Grace Kelly, a true Woman with Sprezzatura and Style. Grace, the name of the Avenue across the Board Walk that you ought to walk and get some eye peeping in the super cars, the wealth and the contradictions of this life. But, this is another ball game. The Hotel is Majestic from the minute you step foot in the doorstep. The Staff? Kind, polite, highly “soul” educated and always with a clear smile. They speak English, but I opted for my french earning additional smiles. I was there for a conference therefore my stay was limited in every aspect. However, my mountain view room was superb, Big, clean, with a Balcony (oh Yes!!), double bed with high quality linen, a clever bathroom and a branded LCD TV. For the tech freaks WiFi was excellent providing that you will follow the reception’s executive instruction. And then it’s the Breakfast. No words can describe the diversity and the high quality of the materials. It’s just time (which I did not have) and taste. The swimming pools!! Pools, I wish I had more time. And last but not least. The wine is Red and the Hotel’s Restaurant serves Vino Nobile di France with vintage dates beyond human imagination. I was not able to dine to the Blue Bay (The Hotel’s restaurant) although it features Michelin Start, I wan not able because my Boss would have taken my scalp for his own breakfast after seeing the evenly Majestic Bill. I made a promise to myself, revisiting Monaco and staying at this Hotel with my wife, at a more relaxing situation.
I was here for business; however, this would be a great hotel for a week with the family. It has a great view, a good breakfast, very nice rooms with great bathrooms and a very good bar (although the DJ was not very experienced). Would love to come back one day.
Stayed here last weekend and the hotel and service by staff was excellent. Great facilities within the hotel especially the indoor swimming pool which allows you to swim straight into the outdoor one. We had breakfast included which was quality. Definitely going back soon. The city is beautiful on top of all that.
Very nice hotel, situated within walking distance of many of the towns attractions. The bus network is very good and frequent. Airport bus stops outside. Easy distance from the conference centre. The pool is very nice with a swim through from inside to out. At this time of year the other large outdoor pool with sandy lagoon is not open. As you might expect it is not cheap in the bars and restaurants. €28 for two beers.
