Located a mere 15 min walk to the casino, Le meridien has an impressive location with views for miles across the oceans, and also over the main squares of Monaco. The property offers an amazing lazy breakfast, ocean side, just up off their beach. the waters are crystal clear and a few rockeries in the water allow for nice fish viewing too. The room was amazing, we had a 1 bedroom suite complete with 180 degree views over Monaco and the Ocean. Watching the big cruise liners come in and out and the sunsets where amazing from our private balcony. The bathroom is a great size and beautifully appointed, as to was the welcome trays of pastries and chocolates that created us upon entry.
This is a wonderful hotel , it should be a 5 star hotel in my opinion The hotel ticks all the right boxes. Great friendly staff, excellent service. Small private beach . Surely my first preference whenever back in Monte Carlo
Good beds & bathrooms, although decor a little tired; safe in room; good breakfast @ 42€ for the full cooked version!! Drinks @ bar & food quite expensive, but typical of Monaco. Had small balcony. Location at eastern end of Lavotto Beach scenic & private section for hotel guests only = great. Concierges OK - some more helpful than others. Some restaurants located along the beach, but good 15 - 20 Minute walk to others. Area around pool attractive. Good internet strength, although had to log in every time used it, which was a pain.
We enjoyed our stay and have stayed in this brand hotel often across the world. Check in was smooth We took our own luggage to the room so we could quickly get changed. Room was clean, medium sized and had comfortable beds. breakfast was included and was fantastic, heaps to choose from, and fresh. The only issue we had was the pebbles at the beach, they are covered in petroleum, so you smell like a petrol bowser, it was actually hard to remove and my son had it all over his hands from digging, and I had it all over my feet and legs from sitting on them. The water was extremely clean so it must be residue. I would not use the beach again. Quite dangerous for peoples health really.
A very nice hotel, has a good mix of facilities, pools and private beach are quite a unique point for Monaco. Ideally placed for bus services to the centre also. Breakfast was really good lots to choose from second and third visits recommend. Go for the sea view room you won't be disappointed.
great location. Bus stop right in front of hotel. Great views. Staff very accomplished. Taxis hard to get at the time of the yacht show but concierge tries hard. Lots of nice restaraunts within minutes.
The hotel is excellent with all its amenities. The decoration is fantastic everywhere. Lunch and dinner were superb. Breakfast as well. Personnel was very helpful. Our room was exclusive, on the 11th floor with amazing views, space balcony and decoration. Our only unhappiness was the sink in the bedroom with no space around it as well as the big shower room without a telephone. No matter those, we would gladly return.
Stay here every year for a conference. Rooms are not particularly big but are always very clean and quiet, I find the beds very comfortable. The breakfast is excellent but a little pricey (but then what isn't in MC?!). Hotel is an absolutely lovely place to be in the evening where you can enjoy cocktails overlooking the beach before going out to dinner or dining at the hotel's restaurant which is also very good. Only downside this year was that, for the first time in many years of staying here, I had a room overlooking the road at the front of the hotel- very noisy and staff wouldn't move me. Ask for a sea view room.
After spending five busy days in Paris, my husband and I went down to Monaco for a more low-key relaxing time and stayed at Le Meridien Beach Plaza hotel for four days. The hotel is very nice with beautiful views and a private beach and pool. We came right at the end of the season and right before the big yacht show that takes place at the end of September, so it was not very busy, which made it even more relaxing. The hotel is easy to access by the small bus system in Monaco. We took a train from Paris and the bus to the hotel (there's a stop right outside called Sea Club on the 5 and 6 bus) When we arrived the front desk staff was very friendly and upgraded us to an executive level room on the 10th floor (though to be honest, I'm not sure what the different was from the room we had selected). Our room was very nice and had a pretty view. All rooms have balconies, which is great for seeing the boats and water. The bed was very large and comfortable. The bathroom was clean, but only had a shower, which was disappointing. Upon arrival we did receive a welcome gift of a light snack and half bottle of wine. This was a nice touch. We spent two of our days at the private beach and pool, which is right there at the hotel and was very enjoyable. We also used room service twice and got the eclairs they make on-site, which were excellent (though they seem to run out of flavors quickly). We did a deal online that included the breakfast buffet each morning with our booking. The buffet is large and has lots of options. The food is good. It does, however, cost 36 Euro a person, which I don't think is worth it, so I recommend it only if you get a deal on it like we did. It is Monaco, so prices are fairly high for cocktails and food at the hotel, but I will say the cocktails we had were good and contained a lot more alcohol than hotel bars typically provide (at least in America). As SPG members we did receive 50% off drinks by the glass from 6pm-8pm at the bar in the hotel, we also received 20% food and beverages at the lounge any other time. This discount did not apply to the pool bar. The main downside to this hotel was the overall service. For a hotel like this, you expect quality service and that we did not receive. At the beach or pool, no one ever came and asked if we wanted drinks or food. You had to get up and walk to the bar and order them. And two of the days we were there our room didn't get cleaned and we had to contact the front desk for someone to come clean it. They apologized but offered nothing else. I've stayed in a lot of hotels and I've never in my life had to call to get my room cleaned. When it happens once, you think it is just some mistake, but twice, made me greatly question the service. These service issues were also very surprising because the hotel wasn't very busy, so there were really no excuse for poor service. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and what the hotel offered. If we return to Monaco, however, we might explore other options before booking this again.
This hotel is at the north end of Monaco and it has its own beach, which in Monaco is pretty amazing. The saltwater pools are very nice as you lie down on them and just float. Keep in mind though that the salt concentration gets a little itchy on the skin after a while. My wife tried the beignets at this hotel and she mentions they are the best she has ever tried. Breakfast is nicely appointed and you can have it on the terrasse over-looking the Mediterranean sea. Food in the restaurant was also very good.
