Checked into this hotel for two weeks in July and loved every moment. It has everything you would expect from a four star hotel plus that extra something - that 'je ne sais quoi', as we say in Ireland! It may be something to do with the fabulous location, or it may be due to management and the amazing staff. Whatever it is, it makes for a wonderful experience.
Located at the end of Monaco and with its own beach makes this an ideal spot. This was peak season so the place was v busy. Be prepared for mayhem at the breakfast buffet. Guests seem to have never seen Watermelon before. It's a scrum around that part of the buffet. Staff were great and went out of their way to make our stay enjoyable. Make sure you have a sea view room
I was their with my waif and four children and we had a great time it a resort style hotel a pit old but it's so good if I came back to Monaco I will stay in it again Swimming pools and the services and staff are all great the beach and the view is super Breakfast is good and family friendly I highly recommend this hotel
Fantastic hotel, the outside swimming pool is lovely and not to crowded, next to it a lovely restaurant for lunch with helpful staff. The private beach is really clean and nice and friendly staff . Highly recommend the hotel
I really loved this hotel. We had friends staying at the Fairmont and I would definitely choose the Meridien. The Fairmont is only a few steps away from the city center of Monte Carlo however the Meridiens pool and private beach in my opinion makes it the better option. Our room was on the 9 th floor (not remodeled yet) with ocean views and it was amazing. Our friends were on the second floor in a remodeled room however to be honest I liked our rooms light and bright colors as the remodeled rooms are based on a darker palette. The bathrooms need updating for sure but it was not something that bothered us. I would suggest having outlets in the bathroom because you have no option but to blow dry your hair in the middle of your room. The restaurant on site had great food and was reasonably priced for Monaco. Breakfast was amazing and offered anything you would want. The staff at the front desk could be a little friendlier however they did provide anything we asked for so they definitely did their job. I will definitely be back!
Le méridien is located on the east side of Monaco. The hotel has a gorgeous pool, a number of amazing restaurants, and an unbeatable location (20 minute walk from the casino of Monte Carlo). The staff is really friendly.
The signature feature of this hotel is the private beach. Also it has a nice ambience and is a place were you should not be concerned to bring your kids. Think up-market resort-like, with both nice pools and direct access to the beach. Couples should be able to find kids free zones so don't worry, but us with families also have places to go. So everybody should be able to be happy. Dining at the hotel is nice, but be aware that meals are frankly rather pricely, even for Monaco. Service at both front Desk and restaurants is super! Hotel is located centrally and within easy walking distance of the Casino etc. If you are going to the Rock, or the fantastic aquarium you need a car though! Larvotto Beach with many nice restaurants at any price level is a 5 minute walk away. Would book it again.
For the price you pay at this hotel it certainly isn't value for money. After waiting 45mins for my room to check in (that's after the check-in time), I went into a run down room that definitely didn't make you feel like you were staying in Monte-Carlo. The bathroom smelled like bleach, stained shower curtains, leaking taps - this place was a major disappointment. Breakfast area is nicely renovated, extremely busy in the mornings and chaotic at times. Staff were friendly and helpful. Wi-fi at the hotel is a disaster though, don't advertise free wi-fi if it's almost impossible to connect to wi-fi from the rooms. If I had my time again I would definitely choose a different hotel, I regret not spending more and staying somewhere nicer and in a better location. Best advice I can give - choose a different hotel, this place is seriously disappointing
I picked this hotel, Because of the private beach, Easy booking in and we choose to up grade to a sea view at a extra cost 300 euro for the 3 nights which was on the 7th floor with balcony room was very modern and with great views. Did have very good air conditioning now the bad point the Wi-Fi was very bad and took for ever to log on , Good range of drinks in the mini bar . Good range of eating places and great ice creams near pool .
I stayed here for one night, and as a SPG Platinum member, was upgraded to one of their best suites on the top floor, which was great. Pros: -One of the only hotels in Monaco (if not the only) with a private beach -Great pool area -Good for families -Service was very good and all staff friendly -Rooms were comfortable -Easy to walk to other parts of Monaco from the property Cons: -Some parts of the hotel seemed a little dated (e.g. while the room was comfortable, for a suite I was not really impressed with the furnishings having been at other Le Meridien properties) -From a design perspective, nothing really seemed cohesive (I know this is very subjective) -It is a very expensive hotel (to be expected in Monaco, e.g. €30 for a salad)
- Close to Casino Monte Carlo
- Free WiFi in rooms and public areas
- Onsite dining
- Private beach
