Excellent location and wonderful staff make this an ideal spot to camp down while enjoying everything Monte-Carlo has to offer. Any time we come to Monte-Carlo we will be staying at the metropole only.

We stayed at the Metropole as part of the Monaco US Celebrity Golf Cup group and we had a great experience. The staff was very attentive to all our needs, especially being a big group of golfers from the USA, and we had a lot of luggage and golf bags, and they were very accommodating. I would definitely chose this hotel the next time you are coming to Monaco for business or vacation.

Opulence abounds at the Hotel Metropole. From the grand driveway, to the public spaces and through to the guest rooms, the experience is consistently spectacular. No expense spared. No corners cut. Through my years of luxury travel, the experience at Hotel Metropole is unsurpassed. We had a junior suite which was amply large and ornate with a view of the front arrival which is actually a wonderful view. We had a great time lounging in the main bar surrounded by the amazing finishes in this space. The pool area was gorgeous as well. All said, the hotel is a bit high priced but worth every penny. We will definitely be back.

Need we say more Excellent hotel Great breakfast but personally I prefer more choices on the breakfast buffet. Service impeccable Black coffee a little watery so go for double expresso. Evening bar friendly and well stocked EXPENSIVE BUT it is The Metropole . Will be back 👍😃

Having only stayed for a few days I leave here feeling totally amazed. From the amazing staff to the wonderful location and superb attention to detail that runs throughout the entire hotel. If you are looking for the best location then this is first class, being only less the a minutes walk from the Monte Carlo Casino, Opera and Ballet. The Joël Robuchon restaurant within the hotel is world class. Opening time : 12.15 pm - 2pm and 7.30pm - 10.30pm July - August : 7.30pm - 11pm. If you decide to take the taster menu allow at least 3-4 hours and you will not be disappointed , truly outstanding. The spa is set within the Spa Metropole by Givenchy and without doubt a must if you have time. The pool is Exclusive to hotel residents and to the 'Odyssey' members of the Spa and gives a little relief for the hot balmy days. One off the bucket list for sure.

The Métropole manages to be a city hotel but still has a feeling of being small and family style. The service is so professional and efficient yet friendly and helpful. My wife visited the Spa and was really impressed with the facility and service.

It is always a pleasure to stay at Hotel Metropole in Monte Carlo. The staff are highly professional and work hard to do their best for their guests. I highly recommend the hotel. Fabulous restaurants, pool area and spa. Located in the heart of Monte Carlo close to Casino Square.

On arrival we go to check in and are asked to sit for a second and “someone will be with you”. 15 minutes later we are still sat waiting, we go back to the desk and receive an apology, we were forgotten about. We had booked a double superior room but even still at €450 per night it’s fair to expect standard stuff and a high level of fixtures/fittings. However the room was very basic, outdated, stained carpets and actual faults included poor shower pressure, poor air conditioning (always hot) and two mattresses pushed together. Our mini bar was also half empty which we were unaware of at the time until hotel staff came to our room to re do. So on check out we had to go through item by item because we were charged for things we didn’t use. The room was hot for our entire stay despite the thermostat saying 15 the room temp didn’t get close. The afternoon before we checked out we called the front desk and again mentioned the air con and this time shower pressure. (This would later be used against us because in the words of the hotel manager “we should have complained sooner”. Or maybe they should just ensure the rooms are up to standard before there guests check in. Another episode which left a sour taste was one breakfast by the pool. We went to the pool for breakfast but decided to go to the restaurant for buffet when we realised everything by the pool was ordered by menu only (which is fine, we just prefer buffet style so we can eat what we feel like). So, I asked the waitress if we could just come back for a coffee by the pool as partof breakfast (“ yes of course sir, of course, breakfast will still be here, of course you can join us for coffee”). We ate breakfast in the main restaurant and then still well before the 11am cut off point we went to the pool for “that” coffee. Same girl served us and then brought us a check for €30+ Euros. She knew very well when we originally spoke what I was asking and just blatantly tried to abuse position to make a quick €30. When I said i would t be paying and felt extremely mislead we were met with the expected dirty confused text book looks. Mini bar stuff is ridiculously overpriced. It’s a mini bar we get that, it’s going to be overpriced we get that. But €19 for a small jar of gummy sweets and €9 Euro for a normal bag of kettle crisps. Joke. The breakfast buffet and service is great, the Michelin star restaurant is great too, expensive but kinda worth it. The pool is ok but take no notice of who it’s designed by, Ive seen better at a Marriott. The gym is decent enough to get by in whilst on holiday/business and the maids did there job to the expected level. In summary the room really lets this hotel down. Some things great some things poor but we will stay elsewhere next time.

We have been treated once again to the fine service and friendliness of the staff at their wonderful lower lounge (not the pool lounge). Well decorated and large for many folks who want to have a nice drink and great Hors d’ Ouvres complementary with the service. We will return once again in a. Couple of days! I am saddened again that the TripAdvisor Hotel ratings buttons are not working, however, I would rate Metripole at 9.5 (for certain, the lounge and staff).

Air conditioning in our room hasn’t worked for the four nights we have stayed. Called front desk to the room and they admitted it didn’t work and would “call the maintenance” who have now been twice. Shower head also does not work so the water pressure is non existent. Again, “will call the maintenance” when they were in our room the girl admitted they knew of the issues in our room before we checked in. Booked through Amex concierge but got no room upgrade even though they admitted there were upgrades in the “category above us”. We got married only a few days ago so this was a terrible start to our honeymoon. After getting off our flight and being tired the front desk asked us to “have a seat” and wait for check in. We waited twenty minutes not knowing what was going on.... they forgot about us. I am writing this from the gap in our two twin beds they pushed together and call a queen bed room. Room is outdated. There aren’t even chargers or plugs near the bed. Carpet looks 100 years old and not clean. Pool sun beds are completely taken every day as there aren’t many. Not nearly enough for hotel guests. Then they want you to pay for open “cabanas” on balcony instead. So many better options in Monaco for the money. Not a classy hotel at all. We aren’t even here during high season. Never again.
