Fairmont Monte Carlo4.0 out of 5.0

This is a nice hotel, conveniently located near restaurants and the Casino. The 7th floor pool overlooking the city is a beautiful place to enjoy the view. It is easy to walk all around Monte Carlo from the hotel.
The Fairmont, Monte Carlo has never disappointed. Exceptional check-in speed, great rooms, fantastic amenities, great food, totally seamless meeting arrangements, everything. The free WiFi was generally available through out the hotel and speedy enough. The rooms could use the addition of a few more power points in generally more accessible areas like near the desk top and bed-side for laptops and phones, and one for plugging in the iron saving one from having to crawl under the desk to plug in the travelers essentials.
Great location ! Very poor accomodation and service quality, even as a Presidents/Premium Club member expect only bellow Fairmont standart service, food and accomodation. The hotel needs serious upgrade!
I’ve stayed at some incredible hotels in my time and the Fairmont Monte Carlo was no exception. Aesthetically from the outside, it looks rather like a 1970s concrete jungle, but the second you step inside the perception changes dramatically. The welcome was efficient and friendly as you’d expect from a 5 star hotel. We had booked a Deluxe Premium Sea View Room for 2 nights on bed and breakfast. The images on the website need updating as the rooms are much more stylish in real life. The walls were dove grey, and the furnishings were Riviera chic; dark blues and white. Quite simply, the rooms were tasteful, airy and calming. The balcony was huge, with an uninterrupted view across the sea, helped by the hotel being perched on the cliff edge! The balcony had a table, two chairs and one lounger, I felt they should have had two loungers, that said I never asked for one and I’m sure they’d accommodate. The pool, Nikki Beach, was great, but get there early as it fills up quickly. They did have music playing which was fine, but the playlist was limited and after about an hour, it repeats. The poolside service was great and the staff very attentive. We ate one breakfast in the Horizon restaurant; which was beautiful, like being on the deck of a yacht. Great views, great food, but avoid around 0800-0900 as that seems to be peak and there are quite a lot of business men entertaining clients. The second breakfast we had delivered to our room and with the setting we had, was probably the most memorable breakfast I’ve had at any hotel. We also had room service for one evening meal, after spending too long round the pool; we couldn’t believe you could have Nobu room service! Having been to Nobu in London, eating it in your own room, overlooking the yachts and listening to the Med, move back and forth was amazing! Great hotel, great destination, excellent service and a truly memorable stay. Will definitely return. Tip: transfer from Nice Airport in an executive car costs €80 each way, alternatively, you can get the train for €6 each way - your choice! We took the car as it was nice not to have to think and sit in an a/c car for the journey as opposed to a train crammed with people.
My daughter and I had a fabulous short break st Fairmont Monte Carlo. I cant recommend enough this hotel . Very well located, great amenities and wonderful staff. I only regret that I didn’t stay longer. We can’t wait to go back
We stayed at the Fairmont Monte Carlo on the fisrt week of November. We chose the hotel mostly for its location (Hairpin view) and was not dissappointed - the view was great! Right on the track. Although i chose the hotel for its location, I was more than happy with all aspects of our stay. The staff were welcoming and accommodating - nothing was too much trouble. The facilities were excellent (outdoor pool on the roof was superb), and the room was comfortble, spacious and fashionably decorated. Will stay here again.
We stayed here one night prior to our cruise out of the Montecarlo cruise terminal. We arrived with a group and were the only couple who's room wasn't ready, unless we would accept two twin beds. Chatty excuses but no real sorrow to make up for the snafu. All personal is really friendly and multi-lingual. The public areas and the restaurants are very nice and 5 star. There is also a Starbucks on premise with outdoor seating and SMOKING - Everybody seemed to be smoking there but us. Our room faced a courtyard and the Casino (which is a short walk with stairs away). The room was not upscale or 5 star by any stretch of the imagination. Quaint and well kept and clean; All white wicker furniture , bathroom was small but functional and clean.
We stayed at the Fairmont hotel for a long weekend in August . Hotel and service were exceptional . Nikki beach pool area was great with music playing , cabanas, full bar and waiter service , Breakfast buffet was fantastic with great views and reasonably priced too . Views of part of the F1 track from the hotel were good .Fairmont has its own casino which was very handy if you want a spin on the roulette wheel .Hotel is close to centre ,walking distance to casino square and Cafe de Paris .Walking distance also to the designer shops in the area .
What a fabulous hotel - Every member of staff that we came across were awesome and the restaurant standard of food excellent. I would recommend the Fairmont in Monte Carlo for a special weekend any time.
Stayed at the Fairmont for 4 nights to attend a conference. Very good service. Large and nice room with a view on the sea. Hurry up to go there as (very) important construction is planned for the next 5 to 7 years that make the stay much less enjoyable
