This hotel is in need of a major renovation. The rooms were very old, most likely from the 1990s and never renovated. The only good thing going for this hotel is the fantastic location. We had booked a king bed with non smoking (because we had our baby with us), but instead we received a smoking room with a king bed. They would not give us the King bed non smoking room, and moved us to a two beds, non smoking room. Claimed that there were no more rooms left in the "600 room" hotel. Meanwhile the entire hotel was empty on that weekend. The hotel manager did not seem to care at all.
Had an excellent stay! Got upgraded to a sea facing room and the views were great. Can't wait to go back!
You could want for nothing. All comforts of home with outstanding dining, entertainment, beach club.... Walking distance to many locations. Stunning waterfront view and upgraded hotel room, rounded off great visit here
so bad that internet charges ar levied at these prices for rooms hotel great except for internet charges
Comfortable, modern hotel. Great location with views of both the Corniche and the Mediteranean. Pool is spectacular with views all around. Literally directly adjacent to the Grand Casino. Reliable place to stay while in Monaco without the overly stuffy feeling that is present at some of the other 5 star places close by.
we stayed for 7 days n everything was fabulous! the hotel staff is very friendly
To get a room with a good view is a bit pricey, but, you get what you pay for. Gorgeous rooms, wonderful views, and right in the heart of Monte Carlo -- easy walk to everything. You can actually walk out the 7th floor right to the famous Monaco Casino (Casino Royale). Very good food - whether room service or dining. We actually ate 3 out of 7 meals in Monte Carlo in the hotel (2 were at Nobu, which is unbelievable). Very nice experience.
You cannot go wrong with Fairmont. Expensive but good comfort. Location is walking distance from the main Casino and some late night dining. I did not look at any public transportation or as a matter of fact any transportation. Monte Carlo is very small in size and almost everything is within walking distance as long as you are used to walking few kilometers each day. Keep in mind that you will be climbing a lot of hills. People who are physically challenged should look into a Taxi or their own private vehicles.
Serenity now!, though dining options are limited and are not up to expectations
- Steps from Casino Monte Carlo
- Free WiFi in rooms and public areas
- Onsite dining
