This is a beautiful hotel, lovely decor. The staff were really nice - the only thing I would say is to not do Monaco if you're on a budget.. when we got to the hotel we was asked for a €150 deposit just in case we took anything out of the hotel fridge.. I can see why they did this but also some people don't have €150 upfront like this.. it should be if you take it, you pay at the end of your holiday. Anyway, I was away for my birthday, we ordered room service a couple of times (pizza, tea, water etc) the staff were very smart and professional, the pizza was lovely and fresh. The rooms were cleaned daily, fresh towels, bed made and bins emptied. Would love to stay here again

We stayed for 1 night in a Deluxe Double Sea View Room. Just to cut it short: 1. The room size feels like less than 19m2 instead of 25m2 which they mentioned on their website. 2. Once we arrived, we found the balcony and the room door handles were broken. 3. The room was a bit worn. The balcony was small. 4. The breakfast was up to standard. 5. The staff were friendly and helpful. 6. The sea view at our room was limited. I guess all Seaview rooms are the same. Of course, rooms in the higher floor should be a bit better. We appreciated the effective and efficient service provided by the maintenance staff. Since we expected most hotels in Monaco are overpriced, I may rate this hotel 3 stars only at this level of room rate.

I was not impressed with this hotel at all. We have just returned from a 3 week motorcycle holiday through Europe and of all the hotels we stayed in this was the worst. We are giving all the hotels we stayed in good reviews except this one. I think because we booked the room through Booking.com that we ended up with a second rate room. The sink was cracked. The carpet was worn out. Rear Court view. Attitude at front desk. So if you wish to stay at this Hotel .... Please pay the Full Price ! and maybe you will have a sea view, have a good room and have a decent attitude at the front desk.

It was our second stay at Columbus hotel and we will come back. The rooms are always clean, light and spacious, breakfast has improved from last year, there is a wider variety. I am quite sure when the construction of the terrace will be finished, it will be super nice and less crowded at the breakfast. The voiturier service is very convenient, if you call the concierge from the room 10 mins in advance to get your car ready and it is definitely worth it's price for the parking.

very nice one night stay in hotel columbus. you have everything what you need! free wifi, pool, parking and very nice breakfast! nice walk to the city centre, close to the marina!! if you wanna take the hop on hop of bus the stand is just 100 m from hotel!! would stay there again

We stayed at the Columbus hotel for 2 nights during August. We had two double rooms booked for our family. Check in was easy. The room was spacious and clean. The carpets are tatty though and could really do with renovating. Our room had a partial sea view and was lovely and quiet (apart from when the helicopter was taking off or landing on the helipad). We ordered lunch from the dining room. This was delicious. Drinks are a little expensive but to be expected of Monaco. There was only one young man waiting on for food and drinks and was heard at one point saying they would no longer be taking food orders as they were too busy. I think more staff are needed as this is a big hotel. Breakfast was lovely with a good variety of food on offer, but there wasn't enough room for everyone due to the outside breakfast area being under renovation. We booked a taxi to take us into the centre and these come quite quickly and will cost you €15 into the centre. The pool area gets very busy as there isn't a huge amount of room for sunbathing. It's very clean. Overall, this hotel is a good find. Not too close to the centre but close enough to enjoy if you want to.

We really loved this hotel, the staff were beyond friendly and helpful. The pool area was lovely. The sea view from our room was beautiful, (room was a tad small but it had everything we needed). The breakfast was really fresh, with lots of selection. Everything was clean and new, although the mattress was a tad too bouncy and sunk in the middle. Also, the parking is €35 a night, which they don't tell you until you check out... Monte Carlo is 5 mins away in a cab (€15 minimum fare). But we left this hotel feeling happy and it is good value for money considering the area! Would go back. Smiles.

Lots of positive things to say about this hotel. Jennifer on the concierge desk was fantastic, so helpful with information about places and nothing was a bother to arrange for us. Also a special thank you to Debbie on reception who was lovely. The deluxe room with balcony and sea view looked over the entrance to Port Fontvielle so you could watch boars coming and going. We were on 5th floor and had a great view but lower floors might have view blocked by trees. Room has everything you expect, plenty of towels, toiletries, hairdryer, safe, minibar fridge, super air-con and balcony with table and chairs. Plenty of choice at breakfast my only criticism would be that the room had very dim lighting. Pool towels from reception and lovely clean pool with snack bar and very friendly staff. Location of hotel close to harbour restaurants which was fab. Supermarket 5 min walk, Port Hercule 10-15 min walk and Casino Square about a 30 min walk away. The good thing about being at the port is that it's always downhill on the way back! Would recommend this hotel to anyone for a relaxing holiday.

We stayed at the Columbus hotel for three nights in room 716. The room had a beautiful view of the pool and ocean from the small balcony (enough room on the balcony to fit two chairs no table). The bathroom was renovated and clean. The room was spacious and renovated, although the mattress was like a fish bowl. The balcony and view where by far the highlight. Concierge will park your car on arrival and give you access to your car when requested, this does cost 35 Euro per day (they don't tell you until you check out). The hotel is located close to the bus stop, Monaco has a frequent bus timetable with an unlimited trip 24 hour pass costing 5.50 Euro per person which you can purchase on board the bus. Nice is a close 30 minute drive, Toll of 2.40 Euro. Columbus is in a good quiet location, and a walk or bus ride away from Monte Carlo and the Casino.

I picked this hotel by location (out of the hustle and bustle) and value for money. I still felt it was very expensive but I think this is just Monaco in general - so in comparison to other places it was good value. I really liked the room itself - I think we had an upgrade as we were on honeymoon - pretty small but the decor was so sweet. Bathroom also small and a bit dark, but fine for our needs. There was a lovely balcony with a sea view. It was pretty quiet but I was surprised to see so many other apartments there - some of which I think must have been residential but I couldn't quite work it out. The staff were very friendly, especially the concierge (Patrick I believe) and he helped by Husband arrange flowers for me which was lovely. The hotel sorted out the parking of the car, but the cost of this is advertised incorrectly on booking.com - so the hotel really needs to get rectifying this a priority. In the end after much discussion though, they agreed to honour the advertised price - but shouldn't have needed to argue about this. Breakfast - there was a good selection and good quality of food. Nice outside terrace where we ate. Location is just a 5-10 minute drive from the main centre of Monaco - about 15 euros in a cab, which was fine for us. Patrick helped us out and got us into a lovely restaurant with a great view. So all in all, good choice for our first honeymoon stop
