I stayed at the Aparthotel Monte Cristo with some friends for a weekend and our stay was good. Rooms are comfortable and clean and are really close to the Monte Carlo Casino and rail station. Unluckily the parking is small and it's not easy to find a parking close to the hotel. The breakfast is not that various. We spent for 2 nights in a 5people apartment 488€
I spent two nights and everything was fine, the apartment was pretty big for me, the WiFi works perfectly and it is very well located. Given the price, it is a very good deal for staying in Monaco. You get what you expect in terms of facilities and amazing staff always helping me.
The hotel was comfortable and the staff were very kind and friendly. Although it was a little far from the city center and you should walk upward a steep path to reach, it was rather agreeable regarding the price.
great apartments within walking distance of everything ( once you find it ) as others have said its quite hard to find but maybe that was down to our naivety but once there everything was brilliant staff were all mega friendly too
Very difficult to get to the hotel with a big suitcase. There is a long flight of stairs up the hotel street and no public lift like to the street below.. You have to go around along a narrow street and walk longer to get to the hotel. They should warn guests about this. Good quality breakfast. Old squeaky futon bed and the front door had a gap, making a constant wind noise so I had to close the hallway door so I could sleep. Other than that the hotel is on a quiet street and the staff was polite and helpful.
Once we found the hotel ( which isn't easy ) , they staff were excellent - talking is through the local map and advising on areas , dining and bars and planning our walking guide etc - the room was clean and beds very comfortable - we didn't eat breakfast so can't comment, I would recommend this good value hotel that central based - but not for anyone that doesn't like a good walk
Highly recommend Adagio city apart hotel. Thought it ideal that if you so chose you had the option of cooking your own evening meal in your own room and all cooking essentials provided. Very good location and easy to get to the marina etc. By way of down 2 flights of steps into the station and by way of lifts and escalators hey presto you are at the marina( well almost) . A leg saver on the way back up. Rooms are spacious and well furnished and breakfast can be had for 11 euros. A very pleasant hotel in a quiet neighbourhood
- Localisation : really great, less than 500m from the train station and bus stops, but just remember that all Monaco is a "rocher" so 500m means a few stairs - even if u can use 1 public elevator to ease part of the way - Parking : a plus, especially in Monaco, but rapidly full - otherwise go to the train station - Room : correct, clean, large enough for 4, well equipped, balcony ok but the street is rather narrow so u can't enjoy much of the view - besides, with the poor sound-proofing you can hear all the people discussing in the street (we were on the 4th floor) - Breakfast : THE WEAK POINT, you can find almost everything (bacon, eggs, continental style, etc) but lobby too small the week-end and not enough people to clean-refill in due time, so really anoying
We had three night stay in the Aparthotel. It was an ideal place because of the location, great access to the train station which was an advantage. There is a functional microwave oven and stove which were ideal when we wanted to cook food. However, we were very disappointed on the overall service we have received. The rooms were not really clean when we arrived, the place was very dark and does not have sufficient lighting as needed, there are no sufficient sockets - you had to choose to have a lamp open or to charge your cellphone in the rooms. The beds were not comfortable at all with a very old fashioned designs. There is space in some rooms but very badly managed, the rooms could be better designed and optimized. There was a clear lack of space to put your stuff, no place to hang your jackets or coats. You only have one cupboard where you can hang clothes which is located in the living room so not very ideal. Adding some furniture to optimize the room space should be envisaged. For a two bedroom able to receive 5-6 guests, there is only one joint bath and WC. It was not very ideal, I would suggest some renovations to at least separate these two if another wc or shower could be offered. The way the shower/tub is constructed led to water leaking to the bathroom floors - there were no sufficient rugs to keep it dry and we requested to have additional rugs or towels to keep the floor dry and not have accidents but the hotel was hesitant to provide us more and said that it is normal and that other rooms have the same issue. It didn't really solve the issue but with some perseverance we had one small rug which because wet right away. We acknowledge we didn't reserve a five star room but these small things listed above made our stay disappointing. We have stayed in different accord hotels ranging from Novotel, Mercure and Ibis Styles but this I would stay was the worse accommodation we had and value for money was definitely not in the picture.
a bit of a puzzle to find but when you do the location is perfect. use the escalator from the train station and follow the signs to the novotel. stay on left hand side pavement and there is a lane next to steps with a lift. take the lift and next set of stairs turn left and the adagio is there. The apartment was immaculately clean and has everything you need. The staff could not be more friendly or helpful and special thank you to Elena on reception. We usually stay at Novotel but will only ever stay at the Adagio. perfect.
