Got a great deal from travel zoo of three nights in a suite here with a bottle of cava on arrival and breakfast included. Hotel was spotlessly clean and the suite we were given was enormous. The room had two double beds as well as a sitting area. Bathroom had a separate spa bath to the shower. Very nice ! The pool area was again spotless and relatively quite. There were in pool water features to provide back massages etc. The breakfast was a continental buffet breakfast and was more than adequate with fresh pastries very morning. The food for lunch at the pool bar was again good and the prices reasonable around 10e for a plate of pasta - not bad for a 4* hotel. In addition there was also a roof top bar with music, where we spent most of our later evenings drinking cocktails mixed by Jorge. Lovely hotel with nice staff! Its a little isolated and I would recommend a car but lovely all the same.
This giant sits in Monachil in the hillside outside Grenada and offers spacious and clean rooms. It's got a restaurant and a bar, spa, workout facilities, a roof top bar with great views of the surroundings and the sunset and a huge garage for your car. So a good package. The downside is that the breakfast was a bit in the lower end (not too selection of juices, bread vegetables), the gym was scarcely equipped, and it was hard to find staff who worked in the bar/pool bar.
I would recommand this hotel for families. Big rooms. Lovely swimmingarea. Great room service. Good breakfast. We had a lovely stay. The employees were welcoming and friendly. Recommand this hotel even though its not placed in the town center.
Although the hotel itself is 4* and the fundamentals of this hotel does indicate that, there are a few little points in which it is lacking that have made quite a big impact on our trip to Granada. The main problem is the location and distinct lack of transport into town. Although we were told it would cost 25euros for a taxi from the airport, it actually cost us 45euros (one way). The hotel is far from walking distance to the city and there is no shuttle bus or public transport to speak of, meaning that unless you hire a car you will need to hire a taxi to and from the town. The layout of the hotel is also a little bewildering. For example, the bathrooms in the rooms have no doors and are not in the slightest bit ergonomic. There is a separate area for the toilet, however if standing at the sink you can see the loo anyway (making the separation pointless). If you have long legs you might also struggle to sit down as they have placed the toilet in the narrowest part of the room....it's little things like this that make a big difference. Other thibg include: - Small balcony, no chairs - the spa has sporadic opening hours and is hard to find Otherwise, the hotel is massive, clean and comfortable. The reception staff could be a little friendlier but if you ask them a specific question they will answer. Granada is lovely and I would recommend a visit to the city. Sadly I won't be coming back to this hotel unless they provide a shuttle bus, free or otherwise. I'd rather have that than the free bottle of cava on arrival.
Excellent accommodation very large and well kept. We had a massive veranda and the hotel was not overly full when I stayed. The hotel food is really quite good and there are some excellent restaurants within walking distance. The location does however need to be considered. It is a taxi ride from the centre of Granada or take the bus but it is not walkable unless you like a challenge! I found the staff to be very helpful and great with arranging transport. Would recommend.
Two nights in this wonderful hotel. the only thing I could reproach is the place away from restaurants, shops.... a car is undispensable as there is nothing to do when you are not inside the hotel. Large bedrooms, good service and nice restaurant.
Wow.... beautiful hotel and for an amazing price!! We booked the evening we stayed so this is possibly why the price was so good, our room was at least 50 ft with 2 queen beds and 2 single beds, absolutely stunning with Jacuzzi bath. The spa was lovely and at a reduced Cost of €12 per adult and €10 for children... as we were staying in the hotel....bearing in mind for people with children that there is no indoor swimming pool so the only pools were outside and not in use ( probably as it was February) so the kids had to just use the jacuzzi pools ( which they found a bit boring) but we loved!!! The hotel itself is stunning, very palatial, spotlessly clean and lovely helpful, friendly staff. Would definitely stay again
We got a great 3 night deal with booking.com. It is only 15 minutes by car to the city centre where there are loads of underground carparks. The hotel is palatial is terms of space, marble floors etc. Our room was huge and had both jacuzzi bath and walk in shower. The two double beds were comfortable and the heating system very efficient. Reception was efficient and quick. Breakfast was included in our reservation and was very good. You need a car if you want to go out to eat as the restaurants within walking distance aren't brilliant. However in Monachil (5 minutes by car) there are plenty to choose from. The hotel is only 25 minutes from the ski area so is a good option if you don't want to pay the exhorbitant prices for hotel and parking on the mountain ski area.
Another bargain booked through Travelzoo with efficient and helpful agency, Fleetway Travel. £199 for three nights B & B ( and the breakfasts were great), also including the inaugural flight of Easy Jet from Gatwick, plus free entrance to Alhambra Palace, free town audio guide and free hop on hop off train(Granada's equivalent of the hop on hop off bus). A great break at any time of the year. In February it was a welcome break from the grey days at home. Cold at night and early mornings but I got sunburnt when sitting out early afternoon. Huge and beautiful room with efficient giant Jacuzzi and shower. Balcony overlooking the snow capped Sierra Nevada mountains and orange trees in the garden. Beautiful design to building, front and back gardens and outdoor pool area. There is an indoor pool and spa area which we didn't use but was being used by other guests. Staff very accommodating, welcoming and helpful. Don't know what we did to deserve it but had a trolley with a bucket of cava on ice sent to our room free!! The hotel only provide you with a list of restaurants in Monachil but you are also on the borders of Cajar and Huetor Vega. We were so impressed with our visit to Restuarante Molina in Huetor Vega that we went there on all three nights - just a 5 minute walk away. (see our review on their page). Lots to do in the town of Granada. Take on board that some people seem to want everything on their doorstep but we like to get out and see what locals are doing too. The buses are amazing as your border on three 'small townships' and three bus routes 180, 181 and 183 take 15 to 20 minutes to get into Granada. Bus service great on Sundays and bank holidays too. The bus drivers are very helpful and you pay on the bus, getting a single(no returns) ticket as you get on the bus. We used a taxi too.
we stayed for 1 night. So frustrated when we arrived early but nothing to see and shop.It was surrounding by housing area..The room was big and in the night it looked like haunted house. The hotel looks very big and mostly the group stayed here becaust it took 10 minutes to Alhambra
