A very nice hotel in a great location and very friendly staff. An example to illustrate this: i forgot my bag in the cafe when we left and they went to the port and gave it to the next batello who brought it back to me in Como.
This is a small family run hotel restaurant right on the edge of Lake Como. Everything is first class. Dinner was excellent and this is a hotel I would go back to without hesitation. A few yards away the ferry landing has boats taking you to all parts of the lake and the views from the rooms are stunning.
Found this hotel restaurant by chance after a long drive down from menaggio. All food was superb. Served efficiently with good humour. Gilt head bream was beautiful as was the panacotta. Would go back.
This was a small intimate hotel operated by Armando and Patrizia. They were so kind and accommodating to me. The room was lovely---clean and sunny. And I slept well after day long scientific meetings. Very highly recommended.
Stayed here for 3 nights in room 30. Lovely clean room and what a beautiful view. Location is great for the boat taxi €4 to como and the lido is 100 yards away to sunbathe and swim in the lake. The owners were so helpful with any questions we had. Nice food in the restaurant and a lovely breakfast.
The hotel GM works around the clock. The breakfast is great but dinner is off the charts and very reasonable. Try the Gnocchi Bolognese-incredible!! The GM is the hardest working guy in the world and super helpful. Parma ham is also wonderful as are the various local fish.
Was two nights here me and the wife for vacation in June. The hotel is good. Clean, comfortable, has a parking space which is hard in this area. Everything tide up, fresh towels everyday, a bathrobe and sleepers, a real good and reach breakfast. That being said, you should have to know that moltrasio is a beat far and don't have much night life or shopping areas. It can be a little boring. The village is beautiful with great villas, hotel had restaurant for evenings and you have a nice bar cafe next to it. Also there's a good restaurant near by on the water. Staff and service very good although breakfast finished a little early (before 10). Another advantage of this hotel is the fare duck just outside from which you can the a boat to see como towns. Be aware that it 2 hours cruise but it's beautiful sight seeing. I recommend fast boat in the morning and long at the afternoon when it no so hot. Ask for room 30 which had Great Lake view. You can't get enough of it.
Leaving Sardinia behind us after more than 400 kilometres from Livorno to Moltrasio, we had a pleasant stay at the Hotel Posta in Moltrasio. A very diner at the evening lead us to the comfortable room and accomodation. The continental breakfast at the morning is more then sufficient. We stayed only one night, but the service and accomodation were super.
My husband and I were looking for a quiet and nice place to stay in for 4 Days. An Italian friend of ours suggested the Posta Hotel Ristorante at Moltrasio. Once there, we were nicely surprised; it was a place we really needed: owned and managed by an Italian family for many decades, the place was very cozy and comfortable. The room was large, tastefully decorated and with a wonderful view of the Lake Como, and had a large comfortable firm bed (we both suffer from serious back pain), plus a very nice and roomy bathroom. The staff was very professional, helpful with their advice and suggestions, tactful and sensitive to our needs, and most importantly, present and perfectly attentive and accessible but without being overly intrusive (as some other places can be). We were there “half-board” (“demi-pension”) [the European term for a hotel, or bed and breakfast, which includes breakfast and one meal, usually dinner]; so, one of our everyday pleasures was the breakfast and our dinner there. The hotel has a very nice restaurant where people come from around the world, and other neighboring countries. We have already recommended this hotel to our friends and relatives and certainly will be back there again, soon! Our special thanks go to Armand for his professionalism, and Patrizia as well --and for her cheerfulness.
We had some drama around our flight home from Malpensa airport and needed a place to stay the night. After checking Trip Advisor for availability in the Como area, we drove around the villages and finally decided on the Posta Hotel. We waltzed in without a reservation at noon on a Saturday and were immediately given a warm welcome and a nice room. The hotel is family-run and extremely charming. While the decor is a bit dated, everything is clean and well kept. You can tell that the family takes a lot of pride in running the hotel and restaurant. I can't believe the hours the staff must work---you see them at reception in the morning, at the bar in the evening and then in the restaurant---but no one ever seems frustrated. As many other reviews mention, the restaurant is very good. A breakfast buffet was included and was also quite enjoyable. Thank you for the wonderful stay.
