Good travel and business hotel. I use it when I visit Modena for a business trip in the Modena 2 business center. Far from downtown, but not very far by car, just 10 minutes away. There is a cinema just around the corner to spend the lonely evening of a business trip.
The location of Raffaello is excellent, if you have a car: hotel has own big free parking. City center is only in 10 min drive. Just one tip: free parking in Modena you can find in Via Elia Rainusso 108. After you can walk to the center in approx. 10-15 min. Breakfast is small, but ok. Staff / service is very friendly and polite. Also check in was very easy. The rooms are clean, and silence. Hotel itself is peaceful / there is no any noisy bars, disco, etc = good sleep quality. Strong wi-fi in the room, tv, hot/cold water. In summa summarum, it is a good choice for the stay if you don't require any luxury, but only the basic comfort.
This hotel was amazing! love my room and service there! It was clean and cozy! would recommend to everyone! it was not expensive. Breakfast was great too (so many to choose). I miss this hotel! would like to go there again :)
Cold impersonal hotel in an area that looks deserted. Old furniture, carpets, curtains, funny smell. The rooms are spacious but the window is very small. The location is not nice to walk around and doesn't look safe either. No restaurants nearby except for their own which is not impressive. Breakfast is ok, offering Nutella filled croissants as well. They haven't figured out "the art" of tucking the cables out of sight Average hotel, unfortunately the price is premium. Completely unjustified. Would not stay there again nor recommend it.
I was booked in this Hotel for 2 nights by my business colleagues and this is the first time I stayed in Modena outside the City. This Hotel is really good with large rooms and the room I had was overlooking fields behind. The Hotel desk was friendly but sonetime people were never seen at the desk. Will recommend this always.
We stayed at this hotel on Oct. 3rd. The hotel was very clean and the breakfast was wonderful. The staff was very helpful in every way and went above and beyond our expectations. Would highly recommend.
Booked and paid two days previously to get a good price. As a photographer I awoke at 0300hrs drove 230 miles to milano we shot two cars and then at the end of the normal working day set of for the Raffaello which was easy to find at 2210 hrs. On arrival with the reception not being indicated in any form a ten minutes fun drive round the industrial estate sized car park ensued. Bland sky scrapper in a field with a big busy complex attached. The receptioist was busy chatting with her man and after a fair wait I plucked up the courage to interput and anounce my arrival as visual presence seemed to fail miserably. Response curt but courteous room assigned card retrieved and one finally question to make taking into acount i had had time to eat anything all day. The last remainig toast was offered. Well after fifteen years sentence in Italy i am still sane enough to refuse a toast. A pizza restaurant was recommended. I lost my way and found the best pizza restaurant in the world. Was so happy left a big tip but no reciept so i cannot help you with the name. Back to hotel horror and the advertised smoking room does not exsist. The internet which was required to send images to Canada was very unstable. Breakfast was good the tv was from an earler star trek era and took two remotes to work with reception desk guidance. Worked lated with my noisy rusted metal shutters keeping everybody awake in the windy night. Breakfast was ok and abundent but the foul instant coffe machine was hidding the fact that scarse apperance of unwilling witers acctually could make half decent latte macchiato. Bags taken in haste and onto another shot never going back. BOOK AT YOUR OWN RISK
Stayed for one night on business. 5 floors but hardly anybody about and very few staff. No real complaints, bed was clean, breakfast was functional, did the job really - but you wouldn't want to stay for long. It had no personality. Can't quite see its appeal.
Located in the outskirt of Modena, this hotel looks dismal from the outside, but rooms are reasonably OK. We selected it only because other hotels in the area were fully booked due to a main cultural event in the city. Since it works mainly as a conference hotel, it has plenty of parking space, both covered and open air. Our room was on the sixth floor and had separate beds, a small window, the usual small desk and a couple of chairs. Also a safe and minibar. The bathroom was decent size and new. Both the room and the bathroom looked clean. The TV screen was tiny and reception was problematic, with lots of noise from the cables. However, you get free Wifi. Breakfast was a standard fare, in rather large and uninspiring room.
We needed a hotel for a one night stop over whilst doing some "petrol head" activities at nearby Modena and Maranello! Hotel Raffaello fitted the bill admirably and was well appointed, great staff and decent car parking on site. We had had enough of travelling around in the heat (37C and 38C on the days either side of our stay) so chose to eat in the hotel's restaurant. There is a requirement to take a taxi / drive should you want to take an off-site eating option as there are no restaurants within close walking distance, unfortunately. Probably more geared to business guests / tour parties than private travellers the Raffaello is a good, honest hotel. We had two main courses (both excellent Italian meat -non-pasta) plus two desserts, a couple of beers and a decent bottle of wine for 53 Euros (excluding service).
