I was assigned a connecting room, and at around 6 a.m. I was speaking in a normal, quiet voice on the phone. Despite this, the guests next door complained and knocked on the wall directly, which made me feel very uncomfortable.
I understand that noise can travel more easily in connecting rooms, but in this case, the sound insulation between the rooms—especially the gap under the connecting door—was insufficient. I could also hear noises from the neighboring room quite clearly.
While the neighbor’s reaction felt impatient, I believe the main issue is the lack of proper soundproofing in the connecting door. I hope the hotel can improve this, as guests should be able to speak normally in their rooms without feeling stressed or unsafe
