Great place to stay at!

We stayed here for a family vacation and we all had a great time! The location is great and everyone enjoyed being able to use the golf carts to get around the resort. We would definitely stay there again, the only thing I would suggest is to clean the bathrooms and floors better.

Something for everyone!!!

Our party of eight (2 adults 6 teenagers 15-19) enjoyed everything Sandestin Golf & Beach Resort had to offer. Augusta 527 was a great location for us. Having two golf carts made it as close to perfect as possible. Close to the main North gate. A short golf card ride the pool & The Links Golf course. My guys were able to play a couple of rounds of golf, putt putt golf, shoot basketball and fish while on this trip. For the rest of us not so active the beach was also a short golf cart ride away. There is plenty of great restaurant options without leaving the property as well. The general store at Baytown wharf had all of the last minute needs. The house itself was cozy, clean and had comfortable beds. We will be back!

Family vacation

Great location. It can be a great home, needs TLC. Broken lawn chairs (safety issue ), hinges on primary bedroom door loose, door drags, sofa pillows had rips and holes. Cabinets and walls pealing. A lot of little things need to be fix before it becomes major problems.

Great location!!!

The place had a lot of BUGS.. we had to go buy bleach for the garbage disposal because nets were everywhere.. My youngest daughter had a bug in the shower and refused to use her bathroom again.. My oldest daughter has a lizard in her room and my husband gave us all a good laugh trying to get it out!!! It was the highlight of our trip!

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was very happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We loved that we could bring our pet! The golf cart was nice to use around Sandestin. The only problem is the rental is damp and has a musty smell. Our clothing was actually damp when we got dressed in the mornings. The flooring in the kitchen was really bad and needs replaced.

Great Location!

The location of this house was perfect! We were able to take the golf carts to the beach, brunch and to Baytowne. The only downfalls are they do not allow early check in, even when they say call us 24 hours in advance to see. The other downfall would be the pull couch. I wouldn’t plan on using those for your stay since it was so thin you could feel every bar. We needed to use an air mattress instead. Otherwise, the house was clean and was perfect for our weekend trip.

Reviewer Comments: Pros - Great location, golf carts were a nice addition, house was clean.Cons - unable to check in a minute early, sample size soap, shampoo, etc. Other homes we’ve rented outside of Vacation Haven was stocked with laundry detergent, dishwashing liquid, trash bags, etc. we had to purchase all of this ourselves. Master bed was hard as a rock - very uncomfortable.

The house is absolutely wonderful for large families and has the most comfortable beds we've ever slept in. The floors were very dirty and you could not walk around barefoot unless you wanted black feet. Excellent showers and water pressure, as well as a large selection of cookware. Very nice resort with so much to offer - heated pools, easy access to groceries, food, Baytowne Warf Village - IF you have your own vehicle. Easy to access via golf cart. Largest complaints were the limited access to golf cart usage (due to the carts being old and not maintenenced well). Spent 4-5 days in communication with My Vacation Haven because of the golf carts not working. We were told we would get some kind of compensation, but have no received anything or heard anything further. The listing states there are 2 golf carts. The black one didn't work at all our entire stay (7 days). It was picked up by a 3rd party company on the 4th day. The white golf cart (literally the oldest we saw throughout the entire property) wouldn't charge and we couldn't use it for 24 hours. Overall, while the house was nice, we wouldn't stay here again because we spent so much time in communication with My Vacation Haven, or dealing with maintenence to have access to the amenities promised in the listing. Very frustrating because we had a party of 9 that had to share a single 4 seater golf cart and wouldnt even got over 17 MPH. Had to contact MVH to request the grill be cleaned as it was not maintained.

Poor communication

The property listing stated there were 2 golf carts, but only one was there. When we contacted the property manager it took 2 days to get a response. It was nice to at least have a six seater that we fit in so we were able to drive the golf cart to the beach and the wharf. The house was fairly clean, but we had to vacuum dog hair out of the Ottoman in the living room.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Condo was great. 6 seater golf cart was damaged and we did not get a replacement nor any updates about it. Main reason we rented this unit was for 2 golf carts. Had 4 elderly people with me and the golf carts were a necessity not just a luxury. Asked about a credit and was told NO:golf carts are an amenity. We were to spread my brother-in-law's ashes and this issue did not ease this difficult time for my elderly in-laws. Truly disappointed with the lack of service.

Great!

In the past while vacationing at the beach I've never stayed at a property that wasn't beachfront so i was worried about how convenient this would be. But with the golf carts it wasn't a problem. Eveything including a grocery store was just a golf cart ride away. That being said i would not stay at the property without a golf cart. The unit was clean and pretty much as described. Some things in the unit were worn and well loved but nothing bad. The owners thought of everything as they even had a pedestal and box fan provided which i love because i cant sleep without one. We had an issue with the golf cart but My Vacation Haven had it resolved promptly and they were very helpful with any questions or concerns. The resort property was beautiful and very safe i didn't worry about my teens at all when they ventured out on their own. Our only issue was the rain. I would definitely stay here again.

Housecleaning/Front Lawn Attention

Nice home; however, several areas need attention: 1. Windows - they either need to be cleaned or replaced. 2. Filter in hall leading to bedroom needs to be cleaned or replaced. 3. My son tried to sleep on the pullout sofa but mattress too uncomfortable. You could feel the springs through the mattress. 4. Blinds directly in front of kitchen need to be replaced. They could not be raised or lowered 5. The front yard had trash and several sticks that should have been picked up.

Perfect home base

My husband & I stayed there with another couple and had everything we needed for an easy stay. The house was clean and comfy and the owners/mgmt were always fast to reply to my questions, though some info at the house regarding what we had access to at the Sandestin Resort would have been helpful as the Sandestin website is not very mobile friendly. Having the two golf carts was an amazing amenity for us!! That alone made it an awesome rental.

Not as advertised

Let me start by saying the property management company made things right by moving us to another location. Upon arrival realizing the kitchen is missing cabinet doors, washer/dryer combo is in middle of hallway, and the first night the roof leaked in our bedroom. We’ve stayed at several properties at Sandestin n clouding smaller townhomes/condos. This by far was the worst first impressions and will be our last time at this one. Highly recommend finding another unit.
