We stayed 3 nights in this hotel at the end of a cycling trip. Our room was spacious and overlooked the street so it could be noisy but I wear earplugs and had no problems. Ate dinner here one night. It was not the best food I had in Minori, but I did have an excellent octopus salad for the first course. Breakfast was a large buffet. Coffee was one of those automatic machines--very bad. Drink tea instead. The have a nice parlor and terrace to enjoy a drink from the bar--highly recommend the limoncello spritz! The hotel is near the beach, the bus stop, an excellent pasticceria and the start of the 1000 step hike up to Ravello. We walked down to the pier at night which was lovely as it's quiet and you can see all the lights on the hill.
Fantastic hotel, impeccable cleanliness and beautifully appointed in every way. This hotel really pays a lot of attention to detail. Food, excellent - breakfasts sumptuous and well presented. Minori is a quaint little town, very secure and relaxed. Hotel is 3 minute level walk to beautiful beach.
This was our first trip to the Amalfi coast- the hotel is a small family establishment that made us welcome from the moment we arrived. The hotel room was great and we had a great balcony to spend time 'people watching- I'd recommend a room on the front of the hotel, although it can get a bit noisy, the double glazing and air- con cancel the noise out. We stopped on a half board basis, but had every intention of going out to eat at other restaurants whilst there- we didn't need to. The quality and range of food available throughout the day was great. The stafff, headed by chief waiter Salvatore, couldn't be more helpful. A great holiday.
Just returned after a week at this lovely hotel in Minori. Excellent hotel. Friendly staff, from the moment we arrived - greeted outside as our taxi pulled up - to our leaving, they cannot be faulted. Our room, which overlooked the Roman Villa ruins, was clean and spacious. The restaurant was overseen by the wonderful Salvatore, and the menu choices were good. The location is great, just a couple of minutes stroll to the piazza and ferries which connected to other towns along the coast. Thank you to Hotel Santa Lucia, we hope to stay with you again.
Spent a week here 19th til 26th loved it. Welcoming , friendly , clean and homely. Would be glad to return here. Beautiful food and excellent service. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and if could give it more than 5stars we would. Perfectly situated in minori just 2mins from the sea , at the back a Roman villa. Perfect travel routes by foot by bus by sea. Thank you hotel santa lucia and all its family and staff
Arrived in hotelSanta Lucia in Minori on 11th may to celebrate a friends birthday with three other ladies. Wasn't sure what to expect as trip was very good value. Totally satisfied with a wonderful hotel experience. Everything about this hotel is fabulous. It is clean with great food and cocktails. We had a wonderful balcony overlooking a local roman ruin surrounded by jasmine trees . Above all else the staff are great. They are friendly and helpful. Particular thanks to the young man at the desk Vincenzo who gave us great tips on getting around the stunning coast, booked trips, transfers etc. and to the head waiter Salvatore who was most attentive in the dining room. I would thouroughly recommend a stay in Minori and without a doubt a stay in this wonderful hotel. I will definitely return.
I love this place, my room is very clean and comfortable, the staff has been extremely nice, and the food in the restaurant has been exceptional. I highly recommend this establishment it was everything I expected and then some.
Stayed in April 2017 Half Board. From the warm welcome to the fond farewell, a lovely family run hotel to stay. Breakfast plentiful and evening meal varied and tasty. Staff friendly and attentive. A great location to visit the Amalfi region with a bus stop to Amalfi and Sorento just outside. Will definitely visit again.
Wish there were a way to give this wonderful hotel even more stars! There aren't enough positive adjectives to describe the staff (thank you, Vincenzo!) the bountiful breakfast, the perfect location, the spotlessly clean room, the nearby places to eat great meals at good prices (Il botte!)... I am thankful for 70 years of blessings and SO happy that I chose Minori and this home away from home as a place to celebrate. I highly recommend this as a perfect hub to visit the Amalfi Coast. I can't wait to return!
Lots of plus points to this hotel, and we had a very good stay here. We paid a supplement to the tour operator for a room with balcony, but on learning that aircon is switched off in October, meaning we'd need to sleep with a window open, we chose to upgrade again to a room at the back rather on the busy street at the front. The extra cost was well worth it - our room was a decent size and its terrace was huge, overlooking the ruins of the Roman villa. Traffic noise was much reduced, though not entirely absent. The room was kept immaculately clean by pleasant and efficient housekeeping staff. The hotel's location is very good. Minori, as its name suggests, is one of the smaller places on this coast, a welcome change from bustling Amalfi. The sea is only metres away, and there are transport links to lots of destinations along the coast or up into the hills. Buses can be very crowded - we couldn't get on the first few we tried. The saviour was the wonderful ferry, 3 Euros for a stress-free, pretty trip to Amalfi. We were on half board, and were delighted with the excellence of the hotel's food. The buffet breakfast has the usual rolls, cheese, ham etc, but also the most tempting array of cakes and pastries. We were very impressed with the standard of dinners: always an amuse bouche of, say, tuna carpaccio or beef fillet, followed by your choice (made at breakfast that morning) of starter, main course and dessert. These were imaginative and very well prepared - and much appreciated! There are one or two tiny touches that smack of meanness and which might be reconsidered. Charging 2 euros 50 for a teabag or coffee sachet in your room is unusual to say the least, as is the threat of a 5 Euro fine for leaving anything in the minibar. Odd really, as bar prices are very reasonable. All in all, we found staff to be friendly, service very good, and our room comfortable and spotless. Add in the better-than-expected cuisine, and you have a great holiday!
