This lovely holiday home with its pretty stone courtyard finds itself surrounded by the narrow streets of the beautiful Cathar town of Minerve; one of the most beautiful villages in France. Very comfortable, fresh and bright, it is the ideal base for exploring this beautiful region. Bounded to the south by the Canal du Midi and to the north by the Montagne Noire, the perched village of Minerve is adorned by small paths traversing the garrigue and vineyards. It lies between the valleys of the Cesse and the Brian, with plenty of beautiful cycling and walking routes through nature. Moreover, several good restaurants can be found in the area. The charming holiday home is just 40 km from Béziers, 10 km from Olonzac and an hour's drive from the Mediterranean beaches. The rooms are equipped with all the necessary comforts. There is a living room with a TV, a dining table and a comfortable sofa. The well-equipped open-plan kitchen allows you to prepare your favourite dishes. You can also use the barbecue for a cosy evening of grilled delicacies.
For reasons of tranquillity, this holiday home will not be rented to groups of youngsters

Mittendrin in einer magischen Gegend

Unser Urlaub in dem alten Steinhaus mitten in der historischen Stadt Minerve war einfach entschleunigend. Das Haus selbst strahlte mit seinen dicken Steinmauern und verwinkelten Räumen eine besondere Ruhe und Ursprünglichkeit aus – als würde die Zeit hier langsamer vergehen. Direkt vor der Tür durch die engen Gassen schlendern, die Geschichte der Katharer spüren und die spektakuläre Lage über den Schluchten bewundern. Im Sommer ist das Dorf mit Sicherheit tagsüber nicht so entspannt, da ein Touristenmagnet. Jetzt zu Ostern war es einfach herrlich.Was mich besonders begeistert hat, war die direkt Umgebung: Die Landschaft rund um Minerve ist geprägt von Weinbergen, den beiden Schluchten der Flüsse Le Brian und Cesse, Olivenhainen und kleinen Dörfern, die zum Entdecken einladen. Und die Nähe zu den Pyrenäen war ein echtes Highlight – in kurzer Zeit war ich mitten in den Bergen, wo ich wandern und einfach die frische Luft genießen konnte. Für mich war es der perfekte Mix aus Kultur, Natur und Entschleunigung. Ich komme definitiv wieder.Kleiner Tipp: Bei gute Sicht fahrt die D907 Richtung Rieussec. Dort sind zwei Aussichtspunkte direkt an der Straße, von denen man die bis zu 200km entfernten schneebedeckten höchsten Berge der Pyrenäen sehen kann. Einfach grandios.
