The West Somerset Steam Railway terminates in Minehead, and the Exmoor Coaster, an open-top bus, operates in summer, providing scenic routes to nearby towns such as Lynmouth and Ilfracombe. For outdoor enthusiasts, the South West Coast Path starts in the town, and numerous walks over North Hill can be accessed directly from the cottage.
