The inn was beautiful, impeccably clean, comfortable. It couldn’t have been any nicer. Everything you needed, and a few extras, but not overboard. I didn’t want to ever leave! The host was so welcoming, helpful with recommendations.

The amount of care, thoughtfulness and cleanliness Richard has put into the Charleston Inn is exceptional. The whole inn smelled amazing, clean, and spacious. The added bonus is the kitchenette, laundry room, enjoyed our time sitting on the private bedroom porch hearing the birds chirping and enjoying the beautiful weather. The hosts gave us privacy but were also always available if you needed anything or had questions. The property is in a quiet neighborhood and only 20min away from the beaches. This is a must stay when visiting this area and would definitely be back again when visiting Delaware. The bathroom is so spacious and one of the best. Richard has put so much love into his inn and is friendly and definitely a pleasant host. He makes you feel at home.

There isn’t enough space here for me to write all of the wonderful things about this stay. Richard is fantastic! His attention to detail is unmatched! The size of the rooms, the comfort, bedding, linens, gardens, decor, kitchenette. I can’t say enough. The location is the best for getting into town for coffee, ice cream, restaurants…We loved being in his incredibly peaceful and beautiful spaces. We will be back! Tracy and John Lowry, Connecticut.

Fantastic week in Milton DE

We have stayed in many places around the world - from highway motels to high end hotels and resorts. The Charleston of Milton Inn is possibly the nicest, most comfortable and well appointed place we have ever stayed. Beautiful rooms, gardens and art work to view while here. Also a quick walk to downtown Milton shops and restaurants. Highly recommend!

Lovely accommodations

The suite was beautiful and on a quiet street. Everything you could need. Milton is a quaint little walkable town away from the noise and crowds. Perfect for a quiet stay yet only a quick drive to beaches and shopping. Richard, the host, is welcoming and friendly. Will definitely come again. Highly recommended.

Weekend getaway

My daughter and I were in Lewes for the weekend and Milton was an easy drive to Lewes and into Rehoboth away from all the traffic. You are welcomed into the foyer with soft music and an aromatic relaxing spa like feel. The King Suite was amazing with all the amenities we needed. Special care was taken to prepare our room for a luxury experience including quality bedding with ironed sheets. We had a fantastic porch overlooking the beautiful gardens.Richard welcomed us and gave us a tour of the property. We enjoyed all the personal touches and his artwork throughout the spaces. Communication was easy with VRBO and texts.Would definitely recommend for a relaxing stay.

Luxurious accommodation

The King Charles Suite was very well appointed with every need. The sitting areas and deck were extremely welcoming and comfortable. The bathroom was super spacious. The kitchenette had everything we could ask for or use. The deck was absolutely relaxing and quiet. The owners/hosts knocked it out of the park with the decoration and furniture….it is classy and refined while absolutely comfortable.

Perfectly appointed Southern Charm

Attached to the owners' home, our suite was super comfortable, clean, spacious, and beautifully decorated with antiques and the owner's artwork. Situated walking-distance to the charming downtown of Milton which offers dining, antiquing, live theater, hiking trails, etc. this home offered us a very satisfying getaway.

Our Milton visit

We LOVE the Charleston of Milton Inn. It is beautiful and comfortable and Richard is a wonderful host! We have stayed here twice and both stays have been perfect! The suite is beautiful and the gardens are lovely. And Milton is a sweet little town with lots to do, and close to the beach.

The Charleston of Milton Inn

We were delighted to stay at The Charleston of Milton Inn. It is a beautifully appointed gem with close proximity to all the area offers. It was a pleasure meeting our host, Richard, who thought of everything to make our stay comfortable and enjoyable. We could tell immediately that a lot of passion went into creating the inn and developing the incredible gardens, which we enjoyed each morning while sipping hot tea from our own balcony. Third time’s a charm!

This was our third year staying at the Charleston in Milton, and exactly like our previous two times, our stay was PERFECT! Accommodations are lovely and very clean. The private porch overlooking the beautiful garden is prefect for our morning coffee and evening cocktail. The short walk Into town to good dining is perfect after a long day at the beach.

I am thrilled to have found this gem of a place in a wonderful little town. Such a great vibe here! The rooms here are top notch, high quality and decorated very well. It was very comfortable and we had everything we needed. The host was fabulous! The restaurants and cafes were delightful. The pictures of this property are true and accurate to a "T". I would highly recommend the Inn to anyone who is looking for a really nice place to stay with all the amenities you need. The Inn has a southern charm to it, inside and out. I felt like I was staying on an estate, in Charleston, SC. Richard, the host, is very pleasant and a joy to get to know. This Inn exceeds a 5 Star rating.
