The pictures don’t do it justice. This place is absolutely amazing and it is a jewel of a find. I highly recommend it to anybody wanting to get away and have a great giant space that they can just be themselves. Thank you, Nathan. We will definitely be back!

Favorite new vacation home!

We really enjoyed our stay. Nathan who also lives on site was more than accommodating. He was very friendly and very involved, in the best way. The home was as pictured, exactly as described. We can’t wait to go back again!

Carriage house is amazing

The carriage house is even better than the pictures. We had an amazing stay, from swimming to fishing on the dock we couldn’t have picked a better vacation house. We loved it and will be back. Nathan is a great host.

Great quiet piece of property. We enjoyed fishing in the bay and sunbathing by the pool! The only negative was the pool was freezing, don’t think they have a heater.

Carriage House on 120 acres on Blackwater Bay

As a frequent traveler and property manager, I had high expectations for my stay. Unfortunately, several issues detracted from the experience.Day 1 Arrival:The owner's dogs barked excessively and entered the carriage house, disrupting our stay. Unattended maintenance issues included the removal of the Amazon Fire TV and inadequate cookware for the induction stove, which took over 15 minutes to boil water. With only one bathroom, coordination was challenging. The kitchen cabinets are placed very high—a design flaw that makes them inaccessible without a ladder. The upper bunk beds aren't suitable for anyone over 6 feet tall, making them more appropriate for one adult couple and a child over 7 years.Cleanliness Issues:Garbage was left around the property, and I had to clean up items from previous guests, including life preservers and crab skeletons in the kayaks. Given the 100 cleaning fee, I expected a higher standard. The charcoal grill was in poor condition; a gas grill would have been more convenient.Day 2 Observations:Parking was tight due to the landlord's belongings. The deck needs power washing, and the boardwalk lacks a handrail, posing safety risks for elderly or unstable individuals.Day 3:Late check-out was denied despite our courtesy cleaning. The double doors do not lock, posing a security risk. The landlord’s presence affected our privacy due to constant barking from the dogs.While the property has potential, it requires significant improvements

Great getaway

Property was just as listed. We had a great stay. Very quiet and peaceful. We enjoyed a couple of days at pensacola beach and a ride into the cute yown of Milton. I could see our whole family renting the entire property. Highly recommend.

Private and beautiful

Visiting our son in the Air Force and his family. Enjoyed the pool and the private dock that leads to a beach on the backwater. Beautiful and peaceful- host is great! Our second stay in a year.

Wonderful Stay at the Carriage House at Rainbowland

This property is beautiful. It is on the Bay and we enjoyed gorgeous sunsets and sunrises in the company of dolphins! We enjoyed fishing and swimming. It was a lovely place to relax and unwind and spend time as a family. Highly recommend!

Beautiful and unique property.

Great quiet place “away from it all”. Yet still close enough to run into Milton, or adventure to Pensacola, Fort Pickens, and beautiful beaches. The couple very minor issues we had were attended to very promptly and professionally(issues happen, it’s how a host handles them that really matter)! We would definitely consider returning and we all loved the pool!

INCREDIBLE!!!

This property is truly amazing!!! It is nestled at the end of a private drive, with incredible bay views, and feels secluded. The finishes were very nice and the amenities were even better. My kids enjoyed swimming in the pool and catching fish from the dock. The host is very accommodating and easy to communicate with. Stop looking and book this place now!

Made our 14.5 hour trip here so worth it!

I had been planning our family vacation for almost a year, so to say I was nervous about how it would end up was an understatement. Nathan and Rainbowland exceeded my expectation ten-fold, and it will forever be one of my favorite vacations. It is 30 minutes to and hour (depending on traffic and where you go exactly) to the beaches which is perfect. It is enough "off the grid" to feel private but only about 7-10 minutes from a gas station, food, bait shop, etc. The property and house was immaculate, and Nathan responded very promptly to the few little requests we had to make that wasn't already thought of and taken care of beforehand. We fished off the dock every day and caught multiple different types, swam to our hearts content, and relaxed. The ONLY con if you can call it that is having to share the dock and pool with the plantation house guests. The dock has a long runway and is pretty decently sized so that shouldn't be a problem, but if you don't like having to share a pool with other people than that would be the only thing you'd need to reconsider if wanting to stay here. If you don't mind that though, it is PERFECT and you won't regret it!!
