"This was our second stay at this motel and I have to say it was as great of an experience as it was the first time. The owner is extremely friendly and went out of his way to ensure that our room was ready for us since we checked in exactly at 3pm. The motel is clean, comfortable and welcoming. There’s parking spaces directly in front of the room doors and you can usually catch a spot right in front of your room. The AC works great and is quiet. Anytime we’re in Ventura, this is the one and only place that we want to stay at because it makes us feel so at home. Though there are other comparable stays nearby, i definitely recommend you give this place a shot! It’s worth every dollar spent!"

"The property sits on a cliff overlooking the ocean and the freeway. It can get noisy especially during the day. It is an old inn, established in 1910. Don't expect a super modern hotel. There is no lobby, just a small registration office.The office and room smells like a combination of old, floral and musty. Found a spider and fly in the room. They have a coffee maker but no free water bottle. They charge $3.00 per 16 Oz. water bottle. Parking is not free. $10 per day fee..Breakfast is mediocre. I'd rather stay at 4 Points Sheraton for similar rates next time.."
