The place was clean and comfortable. Only issue was the furnace stopped working. We returned around 11 and the temp in the unit was 66 degrees. I messaged the seller and called VRBO. VRBO said that a supervisor would return my call and that since this issue is urgent they should call back. They never called me back. The owner responded in the morning. By that time it was 63 in the living room and the bedrooms were freezing. The second night was not comfortable due to the cold.

This home is 15-20 minutes away from the Dunes and even closer to the Washington park zoo and beach. We felt at home in a cozy, nicely decorated space. We enjoyed the thoughtful touches like the Nespresso maker and snacks. The kitchen was well appointed. We enjoyed watching the giant tv and playing games together on the kitchen table. Our biggest complaint is the cheap toilet paper and that there was no where to put it.

The house was very neat, clean, and inviting! Charming details and modern amenities, everything we needed to enjoy a few days at the lake. Quiet residential neighborhood that was close to everything.The host was very responsive with any questions and made everything easy on us!

Overall, it was a good rental that accommodated me and my kids. Was clean and well kept. Only thing I suggest is a vacuum for guests to use. It’s hard to clean sand up with a broom and it’s everywhere with 3 little kids! Recommend this place.
