L'endroit est parfait pour tout ceux qui sont à la recherche d'authenticité et de nature, sans être pour autant trop isolés.
Au cœur du Périgord noir, aux confins du village de Carmensac, sur les coteaux dominant à la fois les vallées de la Dordogne et de la Vézère, on se sent bien dans cette maison au charme certain.
Restaurée avec goût et simplicité, elle est aménagée sur deux étages très bien isolés l'un de l'autre, grâce à la porte au pied des escaliers et à la bonne insonorisation du plancher du 1er. La grande salle du rdc, qui intègre la cuisine, est particulièrement agréable à vivre.
L'entrée principale donne, côté sud, sur un jardinet non clos tourné vers le village (celui de la photo de présentation), tandis qu'au nord, la salle à manger s'ouvre sur une large terrasse surplombant l'essentiel du jardin, les champs et la campagne environnante.
Le voisinage est très calme ; il n'y a pas d'agriculteur.
