The Westin Santa Fe, Mexico City

This is a really really good hotel. Very modern with excellent service. The rooms are huge and very comfortable. Breakfast buffet was a a large spread and really well prepared. While probably a business orientated hotel is is also a great stay if you are in Mexico City as a tourist. The trip from the hotel to the airport is quite a trek though; some 1.5 hours at midday. Highly recommended hotel.

I frequently travel to the area for work and there are a number of hotels in the area. The westin is my favorite as it's located next to a high end shopping plaza/series of restaurants, some rooms have a great view of a large grassy hill rather than staring into another hotel, and the service staff always greet me by my name. Most importantly, when I had an issue during one of my stays, the general manager went out of this way to address my concerns.

The service at this hotel is top notch. If you are staying in the Santa Fe area, it is very convenient (if you are a tourist and want to go all over Mexico City, then this will take awhile given traffic). The rooms are big and very clear and the restaurant is quite nice. I find the food there to be very good with a lot of healthy options. The staff helped me move rooms when a toilet would not stop running and I was trying to get some sleep - no questions asked, they didn't suggest I waited for maintenance just came and moved me. I also misunderstood the breakfast that was included in my room rate but they gave it to me anyways, which I really appreciated it. The hotel is beautiful, very clean and located right next to a lot of shops and restaurants as well. Starbucks right across the driveway is nice. I would highly recommend. The only downside is the fitness center is somewhat small, but still used it both days I was there. I really like this hotel and everyone speaks English which is a huge help.

I often feel ignored when traveling as a single business woman. Surprisingly, never felt that way here. The rooms are large and updated. Ample closet space. Huge, clean bathroom. Large workspace. The breakfast buffet is ok. Gym is good with lots of working equipment, used but not crowded, great view on the top floor. Ate dinner in the Market and enjoyed my food and the service both nights. One drawback was that the doors are not soundproof. Requested a quiet room upon check-in, got the third floor right over the driveway, so in the morning it isn't too quiet. Room temperature stays comfortable all night. I'd stay here again, even though I typically stay at Marriott's (yes, I know that they are one company, but the rewards programs are still separate) as I have some status there.

Excellent staff & facilities, with restaurants, supermarket, and malls nearby, but far from tourist area due to heavy traffic. Rate quoted to me in dollars but charged in pesos (a minor difference). It took me almost 2 hrs to get from airport on a weekday but only 45 minutes on weekend. Downtown took over an hour on a weekday. Other that shops & restaurants, not much to do within walking distance. Staff treated me like royalty. Internet speed 6.5 mbps download, 8 upload.

A very nice hotel in Santa Fe. Our room was very clean with a nice view. The hotel has a very good restaurant. Thanks everyone for making our stay memorable! We will definitely be back at this hotel. Would recommend this hotel

Beautiful hotel, based in business district. Service is amazing, lounge is very nice on top floor with nice views our over the city. Rooms are flawless with everything you need. Food was average but so inexpensive in comparison to European rates. 16 EUR for Beef Tenderloin in a 5 star hotel, have not seen that before! People are very friendly and you can't help but feel you are in a secure part of town. Taxi service is continuous and check out was blissful with receipt emailed to me in a few minutes. All in all, top Class - looking forward to coming back.

It is hard –and probably unfair– to try to make a comprehensive review of a hotel when you just use it for spending the nights there. Taking this in mind I will focus my comments on the accessible side of the hotel. In one thought: Westin Santa Fe’s accessibility is adequate. I wouldn’t go with outstanding but rather sufficient. The motor lobby has plenty of space for both, the passengers to descend the vehicle and for other vehicles to keep going through, so no rush. Another thing to be grateful for is that since the moment you descend from your vehicle and all the way to your room, you’ll find not even one step but flat ground only. Along the way you’ll find staff that will assist you with the doors however, outstanding accessibility would be automatic doors designed for wheelchairs to go through. Same thing happens at the check-in; staff will gladly provide you with the papers to sign but outstanding accessibility would be an adequate front desk thought for wheelchair users. The room itself is plenty and the furniture makes it comfortable for going through in a wheelchair. The bathroom is spacious and the bathroom’s door is a sliding door, which is great when keeping accessibility in mind. Comfortable also is the room’s carpet, which is not obstructive at all and allows for the wheelchair’s casters to roll smoothly. Finally, the hotel’s location is fantastic! You can make to different places including restaurants, shops, and movie theatres without the need of driving or taking a cab. This was not the first time I’ve stayed at Westing Santa Fe and certainly will not be the last one. What I get in terms of service, and more over in terms of accessibility (comfort, security, location), is worth the price.

Stayed here for business in December 2017. Room was fine but not interesting and not well-equipped (ironing board was flimsy; no robe in room; bathroom amenities were basic). Best part of the hotel was the 24-hour gym on the top floor, which was never busy in the three times i attended. Service in the hotel for the breakfast buffet (and for dinner) was shocking, with slow service, few staff members, and not a very broad breakfast spread. I'm a starwood member but I won't come back to this hotel.

I visit Mexico City at least once a month. They already know me very well at the Westin. I used to stay at the Sheraton Suites, but the Westin is better (I try to stick with SPG alternatives). The service is always great. Never a long wait to check in. The main restaurant has recently been remodeled. Only small issue is the rooms start to look a little dated, but the beds are comfy. Location is great as there are plenty of restaurants within walking distance. The best part of the hotel is the service. I am always greeted by name, I get an upgrade whenever they are able to give me one, and room service is fast and good. Great for business travel!
