Only had one night at the hotel but everybody was very friendly and helpful. Large room with big beds. The room was very simple but had the most basic. A little loud as our room was to the street. Nice breakfast buffet.
Great Breakfast, Good dining and easy walking distance to play tourist . We were on a tour so once given orientation of area was very easy and safe to walk around by yourself. Plenty of armed guards around, due to Hotel being close to a Government building.
Bellboys were very friendly, location and rate are good, Dinner and restaurant are good. Cleaning almost well (but they are in reparation and under construction). The Beds are ok. In the other side: They does not have hi speed wifi Rooms are small (in my case). The air conditioned very noisy.
I have been in Ciudad de México sinceramente the 29th of December and will be until the 8th of January with my wife. We are staying at the Regent Hotel and so far it has been a very good experience. The restaurant has an excellent service with good food. They are undergoing a room's renovation and are doing an excellent job.
Bathroom could use a redo. It took forever to have hot water, but once it got started, it was fine. They have filtered water faucet in the bathroom, so we did not have to worry about drinking water. Our room was large enough, the other people we traveled with had a smaller rooms. You have to pay for WiFi in your room. It was nice to sit at the outside area of the bar for cocktails. Breakfast was OK, but I am use to just a bagel and coffee. I just can't get use to having dinner late in the evening. Overall, it was a good experience.
Not the hotel I was expected...very small rooms...bathroom imposible to use the W.C...short bed...machine noise during night is terrible. Lobby under average...location is not really special....food is ok...breakfast is a buffet..not eggs accordingly with your test...just scrambled eggs in their style....not options...not soy milk not lactose free milk...NOT WI FI FREE!!! In this moderns times it is more than necessary! No parking...
Small city center hotel close to modern city center.Freshly sqeezed orange juice was great just like the food but had only a few choices what to eat. The hotel was clean but have no free wifi, only for a quite high price.
When I arrived to my room at this hotel I was really shocked by the dimensions. In fact is the smallest room I have been to in any hotel that I know (see the photos). The washroom wasn’t the exception, very small as well. In synchronisation with this minimalist approach the safe was a tiny box as well, I guess that you can fit your passport and other small documents, but forget to keep your portable computer there (see photo). The door lock inside the room was installed in the wrong direction. Pointless to use it since if pushed from outside the chain just slides leaving a free access to the room (see photo). Also, I am use to be in hotels where access to Internet is not limited to one device. Although the Internet is very good in this hotel, the access is limited to only one device. I had to ask for another “coupon” and the person at the reception was kind of reluctant to give me another, finally she did it. Finally, I requested at the check-out to print one page of my boarding pass, and they told me that there will be a charge for that. It was minimal, but once again, it is the first hotel that I have stayed that charges for printing a boarding pass. Rather inconvenient and annoying.
This hotel has a very good location, though the street where it's located is not pretty at all. But it's close to the junction of the two main avenues of Mexico City, Reforma and Insurgentes; that's a plus. The staff, especially the bell boys, are very friendly and helpful. The breakfast buffet is pretty good though could be improved, but better than nothing. My only issue with this hotel is that the rooms are extremely small, and let's not talk about the bathrooms. We stayed here on two different weekends. The first one we had, was a street view room. Too much noise early in the morning. The interior room was a little bigger, not the bathroom, but we could hear all the conversations from the room next door. In summary, your degree of satisfaction will depend on how much you pay for the room. We got it as part of a package. If I had to choose, I wouldn't go back just because the rooms were too small.
This hotel is centrally located. The staff are lovely and helpful. The rooms are a bit small and the walls are very thin! Corridors get noisey, the room doors BANG shut and you can hear everything. We travelled around Mexico and this was the only hotel that charged you for wifi. Around $5 a day. Also, careful when you shower. If someone flushes the toilet or turns on the cold tap - the shower becomes boiling!
