Holiday Inn Express Mexico Santa Fe2.5 out of 5.0

i was here for two nights, and was a good option, it has cheap rooms for that zone, Santa Fe is full of hotels and conference centers so the people use to go out really early and return late, breakfast was included and opened since 7:00 a.m. just some fruit, cereal, eggs and ham.
The only reason i stayed here because it is next door to Ford Motor company. The room feels outdated & is not at the same level of other holiday inn's . Breakfast is included in the price , WiFi is free in the hotel
Simple, good staffs. Poor breakfast. Large rooms. Carpet floor must be better cleaned. Good space, reasonable bathroom, Is there a current construction behind the hotel, but rooms are quiet, Restaurants and mall nearby.
I actually stayed next door at the Holiday Inn. Not the express. They are together. I had a great bed on the 5th floor and service was excellent and friendly. Prices are ok for these area which is the most expensive zone of the city. Tv was fine room service pretty good and cleanliness and shower perfect. I believe this is a great deal for the area and I was able to walk My activities.
As a frequent traveler I find myself more impressive when moderate priced hotels delivery 5 star service. Small issue was handled in a nice and friendly way Thank you holiday inn express - I will be back soon
I stayed at this property for business and wished I would have stayed next door in the other Holiday Inn. The first item was that the window curtain handle broke off of the curtain and had to close it manually but it did not want to move. The lights were so mess up. Half of a plus was always on and the other half was controlled by a wall switch. Some of the switches were never figured out what they controlled. The office chair was completely worn out. When you sat down in it the chair lowered to the floor immediately. The back of the chair was completely torn and looked very bad. The water pressure was extremely low. There was hardly enough water to was off soap or shampoo. Breakfast was included but for a non-Mexican there was choices that were not good. The milk was room temperature and it generally looked bad. If you stay here make sure to get a low floor.
Nice hotel with everything is needed for a good business stay. Staff nice and ready to help, room clean and tidy. I had a conference at the Expo Bancomer and it was very near 5 minutes by taxi. A lot of good restaurants in the surrounding area.
It is a nightmare to reach Mexico City from this Santa Fe modern "suburb". The hotel is not bad for being an "express" concept. Attention is very good but services are at a minimum, as you may imagine. A small shopping center outside makes your stay easier if you need whatever but this is not a Hotel to visit Mexico City by any means. No metro, no bus, it will take you about an hour to reach the center. Large rooms. Good Gym (above the average), and a small yacuzzi on the penthouse. Modest breakfast in a quite small space.
This is a review of the Holiday Inn right next door to Holiday Inn Express. My host recommended the Holiday Inn because it was right next to the building where all my meetings were in Santa Fe area. The hotel is new, my room was new and nicely furnished and the location was not only walking distance to my business meetings but walking distance to lots of shopping and restaurants. My room was above average in size. I had a king sized bed, a full sofa, a small but usable desk, a flat-screen TV, a mini-frig, a closet with ironing board, a little nook area to open up my suit case, and a full sized bathroom. The bathroom had a full sized walk-in shower; no bathtub. All the fixtures were new. The WIFI was included in the room price and worked well. The A/C worked well. Not luxury, but plenty nice for business travel. The hotel lobby area is just a front desk/waiting room area. Smallish. The staff was nice and friendly. You need to swipe your room key to get to the elevator area. Good security feature. Breakfast was on the second floor. It was an ok buffet breakfast with a normal selection of hot and cold food. My breakfast was $16. Not cheap but it saved me time. Straight out of the main door is the Holiday Inn Express. It is a separate building. Next door to that was my office tower, called Plaza del Parque with a big Actinver Bank name on the top -- my company has offices on one of the floors. Across the street is the Santa Fe Central Park. Underneath it is the Garden Santa Fe -- it's an underground shopping mall with a big food court and some nice restaurants; this is a good place for lunch. I recommend arranging for the hotel to have a car pick you up at the airport. The driver was waiting for me at door E3 with a sign with my name on it. It cost $50 -- it was over an hour drive during rush hour to the hotel. The hotel also got me a car back to the airport. It cost $22 -- the drive back to the airport during off hours was 35 minutes. In both cases, the fare was put on my room bill. I gave the driver a modest cash tip. The Holiday Inn is so new that it does not show on Google Maps. I picked it because it was on my company travel service's web page. Based on comments from my work associates, this is a much nicer hotel that the Holiday Inn Express. I will be back.
The rooms are increadibly confortable, they serve woy with cofe and water daily in your room, confortableto work, its a small business hotel, nice plaza and restaurants next door. The service is great. The only thing I would change is more variety of bread in the breakfast menu. And more light in the room.
