Really a nice, comfortable, reasonably priced hotel in a quiet neighborhood. Of course, lots of traffic. Large room, comfortable beds. Large bathroom. Desk! No fridge, no microwave but yes, coffee maker. I ate many meals at the hotel's restaurant and would like to 👍recommend it to all the guests. The breakfasts were superb (wonderful fruits, excellent coffee, fresh breads, veggies and nicely prepared meats) and the evening soups and entrees were quite nice, all prepared with care for the international client. The wi-fi worked. The elevator worked. The tv worked, with international channels. The heating and air conditioning worked fine. The staff and bellhops were all very kind and helpful and knowledgable. (Remember to avoid the interior rooms, they are quite dark, and have a view of the employees cleaning area.)
The gym was great, the only thing is that perhaps the steam room could´ve used a little maintance since one of the steamers was out of service. As my previous staatement, my friends and I wanted to enjoy a few videos on t.v. although the volume was preprogrammed thus unable to raise the volume. I guess it´s o.k. although Holiday Inn needs to keep in mind that people will want to listen to a little music on t.v. and not just with our headsets!
Avoid this hotel, terrible location, noisy, rundown rooms, not so good service Two days to fix my window that would look and accesible from stairs Overall avoid Other hotels in the city way better, you will spend money with Uber and taxis Not a single restaurant around, there is just an oxxo downstairs that's it
If you decide to stay here, never ever accept a room facing inner courtyard with lobby. First, the room is dark. Light from the window is not enough. The room had 4 lamps with energy saving bulbs, that didn't help at all, it's dark! Second, it's noisy. There are group of people sitting in the lobby or restaurant/bar. You'll hear every word. Poor soundproof of the rooms: one night we had to listen neighbour' TV until 3 am. Every room has a smoke detector which is next to the front door. Some guests just smoke next to the window and detector doesn't go off. Our room was full of smoke coming from outside as windows had gaps everywhere. Next time we'll try another hotel.
I booked this hotel based on the advertising "Ciudad de Mexico Trade Center" I expected to be closed to the WTC ; for my surprise, this location is not even near! If you want to be closed to the WTC, you need to book the Holiday in "Dakota Street" not this one. I found this isssue misleading, the hotel in front of the WTC is small and quite busy, so they actually try to confuse the guess with this advertising, so be carefull.
It is a beautiful hotel. The hospitality was fantastic. They brought me ice and the roller bed as requested; the ice machines were not working the first night of my 2 day stay. The Empire Suite was one of the best suites I have seen. Great prices if you an IGH member.
It is conveniently located, has a good staff and breakfast. Also, the rooms are comfortable, one of the best options in this area of Mexico City, and you get a nice sleep as the beds are not bad and its not noisy.
We booked by the brand and we're very disappointed. The lobby is cluttered with sofas, and smells the food of the open kitchen in the restaurant. The room although upgraded (Suite Madison ) was dull and dark. Lighting was poor. We missed Holiday Inn Unversidad in Parroquia.
The hotel is a bit old with basic decoration. Needs a refresh for the main areas. Friendly staff. They do not have a heat system for the room so if you are lucky and if they have in stock, they can offer a satellite heat radiator. I was not lucky in the first night so the only choice was an extra blanket. Breakfast is pretty much complete. Worst is the noise from parties around the property that run all night long and it is not easy to sleep.
Unfortunately I had only night to stay in hotel as I had to catch a flight the other day. Nice hotel and friendly staff. Since I am member of IHG I got an upgrade to big suite but the sad part was that I had only few hours to stay in the room. Hopefully I get an upgrade next time and hopefully I stay for longer period. Thanks everyone for your hospitality. Salute.
