Even though it has a good location, streets are closed due to restaurations. Everything is full of dirt. The hotel is extremely small. The rooms are very small. The staff is kind, but not very helpfull. AC stopped working for 2 full nights and days, staff would not help. I definitely do not recommend this hotel.
It is close to downtown that you can walk to anything that is the most convenient thing that I have to offered other than that it has very small rooms very tiny little bathrooms with little to no lighting whatsoever. It has air conditioner TV save hairdryer iron ironing board. The basic of amenities. It looks clean but soon as we arrive to our room we found hairs on our bedding. Can't really complain for $40 a day. City express it's the equivalent of a mall till eight or Motel 6 here in the United States 🇺🇸 which is not a compliment. The staff was friendly but that was it. No parking. They said they offer breakfast but I assume it was the very basic cereal water milk and coffee ☕️. Needless to say we will not be staying there anytime soon.
The hotel has clean rooms, slick design, basic furniture, good location and great price, overall a great value hotel. Always stay at City Express before taking flight back to Canada. Although this time I wanted to upgrade to a king bed and they were not flexible, wanted to charge the outrageous walk in rate, something to do with their reservation system.
This City Express Hotel have a great location. Shops and restaurant nearby. the rooms are big for the City Express standard, good beds, nice A/C, safe. Tv is awful, the shower is very small, I don't like the smell in the rooms. The elevators are very small, and get crowded very easy, some time we have to wait 3 times the elevator to open doors and see we can't fit in. until we get to the lobby. breakfast is a standard in City Express. but this time i feel uncomfortable and the staff serving the breakfast was rude. theres no parking lot on site.
This is one of my favorites city express hotels in Mexico city, everything I need is close. The staff was very friendly and cooperative. I had quality in service and the pice I got was great. Definitely I'd recommend this to my friends.
room smelled funny, like they had covered up cigaret smell... guy in front door was not welcoming, reception called 10 minutes before check out time to remind that we had 10 minutes to leave the room. i've stayed in many hotels over the years and no one has ever called like that and on top of everything. wasn't nice about it. breakfast was convenient but a little flavorless and plastiky.
its very close to reforma 222, very good places near the hotel and safety, the taxi service outside the hotel is very good, the food provided by hotel was good and the people at the lobby very professional
This hotel is one of the best hotels in Mexico City due to its perfect location. Not only is near from Reforma and the Zona Rosa places, but it´s in front of the most modern Malls in Mexico City where you can go to eat, walking around and go to the movies if you want. Prices are very accessible to all travelers nationals and internationals. Room is cozy and comfortable, no noises at all from street. Breakfast is ok not a big thing but is perfect for this kind of hotel. Or if you want to go to eat tacos and tortas you can walk around the Zona Rosa or find a good restaurant to eat there. In short words this hotel is perfect for any choices business or pleasure. One tip, choose the taxi cabs of the Mall that is in front the hotel, Gray Taxis or Gray Cars, those taxis are cheaper, faster and the drivers are very nice and friendly, they know everything about the city but they don't speak English, Have a nice trip!
I had always stayed at another hotel when I came to Mexico City, but decided to try this one. It was great! Just right in front of Reforma 222 shopping mall which was amazing. We just had to walk across the street to take the tour bus (loved this). The room rate includes breakfast which is buffet style with anything you might need for breakfast. This is perfect for those who want to enjoy the city's nightlife at walking distance. Would definitely return.
I had some problems with my reservation, and the maintenance of the hotel is not good. The room has broken stuffs and just ine elevator work in a week and the Hotel Has enough people all day and need 2 elevator working. Still I think the location, price and excellent free breakfast make of this Hotel a good choice. Just a block from a Metrobus stop and about three blocks from a Metro Station.
