Camino Real Polanco Mexico

A perfect hotel for our stay. Also, only recommendation to guests: Rather than taking the hotel car to dinner, etc., which is rather expensive, out the front door 100 yards to the right, there is is a queue for metered taxi cabs at 1/4 the cost.

I have known this hotel for its entire 50 years since it was built. I love its location but it is definitely starting to show its age. The rooms are dark and the furniture is old and outdated. I do not mind walking but older pope may be inconvenienced. Walking form the elevator to your room can be a hike pending on where you are roomed. If room is facing the street, it can also be loud!

The hotel needs to be updated!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The hotel is very convenient and near to one of the main touristic, cultural and gastronomic areas of the city. The rooms are comfortable and spacious and the hotel counts with some very good restaurants and shops. If you arrive with your own car I strongly suggest that you leave it in the parking and move around in cab or Uber, as the traffic in this zone is usually very difficult.

The hotel needs to be updated. Very little light. Carpets are dirty. Very poor lighting.

Great stay & hotel is strategically located near city sites.......

only thing bad are the taxi cabs . very expensive and some of them do not now the city.

All well, as always only the bell boys were not up to the standard upon my arrival an I had to carry my own bags to the Club Lounge to check in (fifth floor), big inconvenience, but other than than was all good

Have not stated in a few years but hotel was even better than last time great value and nice location

In general the hotel was great. The rooms, restaurants, gym and location were all great. I didn't like the high price for wi-fi (about US $20/day). And I was surprised they didn't provide enough places to plug in the phones and iPads. I've seen other older hotels provide light fixtures and other devices where you can charge your appliances, but this hotel didn't make it easy.

The hotel was good overall, clean rooms, with deficient lightning. Superb location, good restaurants.

I would NOT recommend this Hotel, very expensive wi fi, yes you have to pay for the Internet. Air condition was not working properly. No refrigerator available. I find out when I get home that a piece of clothing was stolen from my baggage.

We booked this hotel for a birthday trip and it was fabulous. The location while not the greatest proved to be a wonderful spot once we ventured outside of the hotel to find food. We had eaten the breakfast buffet and were less than satisfied and felt way overcharged. The staff were fabulous and the hotel was in great shape and the pool are smelled heavenly from all of the trees in the area.

Excellent Hotel, I really had a great time at the Hotel...

Literally the best hotel ever, service was great. Raymundo helped us with everything. Keep in mind that it be challenging for non-Spanish speakers as the hotel generally serves a Spanish-speaking clientele. Really good neighborhood, close to everything. Car service, ferragamo store inside the hotel, felt like luxury.

Excellent hotel, one of the best hotels in the area, the best food you can have. Would stay again with any problem.

This was once a good hotel. Now it's just shabby. Very poor service, bordering on disrespectful. Beat up furniture. Electricity cut out without notice from 6 am to 4 pm. Avoid this place.

Great. Excellent service and excellent location. Would recommend this hotel.

The amenities are great, but the management staff needs to be better trained and take care of the customer. I was overcharged over $400.00 US and have been trying to get it back for over a year. I have been staying there giving them the benefit of the doubt. I have given them copies of the overcharge and they have agreed, but still no refund. In addition, my last stay and I mean my last, I had some business meeting and we met in my room. A short time later, my cousin came to see me, who I had not seen for over a year, and they tried to shake me down for $1000 pesos telling me that I had to pay if she were to go to my room. I pointed out that the male gentlemen who went to my room did not have to pay so why should she. I was told it was policy. It was an insult to me and my cousin. What they were saying was that she was a lady of the evening. I was furious and talked with the night manager and she too wanted the $1000 pesos. Unfortunately my cousin and I sat in the lobby for an hour and a half and caught up on the family gossip. Never again will I stay in "El Camino Real-Polanco".

I came back to Camino Real after more that 25 years. Well renovated, still great attention, comfortable rooms and superb location. Food at the new restaurants is excellent.
