We were in this resort last week and although we had a great holiday overall we felt that the hotel was bring let down in some ways. If these were changed this could be an oustanding hotel. When we arrived there were quite a lot of people checking in and this generated a chaotic experience after being up half the night and sitting on the transfer coach for about an hour for a delayed flight to arrive. So this was not a great start to the holiday. We were given a sheet to complete whilst standing in line and when we did get to the desk we were given the key to our room and told to get some lunch and put our case near the entrance of the hotel and this would be delivered to our room. I was tired not hungry but we went into the restaurant and there seemed to be scraps of food left. We quickly had a snack and left to see if our luggage had been taken. No it was standing alone by the entrance do we took it and tried to find out where our room was. We found a large map outside and I managed to somehow point us in the right direction. When went into our room which was on the upper floor of one of the external rooms we was pleased as we had a sea view. The air conditioning was working well and the room was spotless. Issues we experienced though was the mattress dipped in the middle which made this uncomfortable. The refrigerator was barely working so we didn't have any cold drinks in our room. The shower cubicle is far too small and no room to move about. I have no idea how a larger build person would manage. The hair dryer is very weak. On the positive side the room was kept clean with clean towels daily and we received two small bottles of water each day. The grounds are beautiful and relaxing to wander around. The beach area is lovely and there is a cafe with a decking area overlooking this. We spent one day on the beach which was so relaxing. Sicily has many beautiful places to visit so we went out all the other days. Mt Etna is an absolute must. We found the whole mealtime experience disappointing for a four star hotel the food choice seemed limited and the chefs who were dishing up the main courses looked like they had one the lottery and lost the ticket. The portions were small and I saw people hold their plates there for a second portion which was given quite begrudgingly and never with a smile. The desserts were lovely and plentiful and the fresh fruit was also lovely. Children were not kept under control in the restaurants and they were running all over the place almost knocking into you when you are carrying your plate. The snack bar was good but there was a language barrier. The waitresses always served with a smile but the waiters in the snack bar were more abrupt. What was definitely missed was an information leaflet explaining the restaurant times and what the all inclusive covered. Nothing was explained to us on arrival so we muddled our way through this. Overall we had a great time and we feel that with a bit more enthusiasm this hotel has the potential to be so much better.

Hotel kept very clean, especially pool areas and rooms. Unfortunately, I feel the food needs improvement, very repetitive, no prepared fruit, which is a shame as all over the area you can get watermelons for example, yet only whole oranges/bananas/ kiwi on offer. The dining room is massive with little ambiance, more like a canteen, bright lights etc. We ate out 4 of the 7 nights we were there. House wine is perfectly acceptable, no cocktails included in the all inclusive options. Water given at mealtimes, but you cannot take any leftovers with you - only two small bottles in minibar are included, no other minibar drinks are in A.I. The Olympic pool is great, plenty of room to swim properly. Lots of loungers, and pools not open until 0930 so prevents the lounger hoggers putting towels out at dawn! No English channels in the rooms apart from usual BBC news, although there are 100 odd channels! Wifi is acceptable, managed to get in all areas. We enjoyed the holiday but did feel there could be some improvements, especially in comparison to other 4 star hotels we have stayed in.

We stayed for 11 days at this hotel, we have 3 children (15, 13 and 11 years old). We can recommend very strongly this hotel if you like active hollidays with many things to do: sports tournaments, different children clubs, excursions, shows in the evening,... We go every year to another location so we will not return as we have seen now Taormina, the Etna,... but for people who were not in Sicily or this region before, you should come here for a mix of relaxing, excursions to exciting places, swimming in pools and sea, water sports, evening shows,... The food is excellent (maybe a tip to have some ice cream as dessert). If I compare with other resorts and campings we stayed before, this one is on the top. There is really a lot of personnel and this results in a very clean hotel with very clean rooms, clean restaurant, clean toilets but this also results in very well organised animation, tournaments, aquagym,... so congratulations to the management for investing in so many personnel and in very enthousiastic personnel! It made the holiday a wonderful memory for the kids and for us.

Beautiful hotel and grounds. We stayed in one of their garden apartments and made full use of the gym and tennis courts. The staff were all lovely and so helpful. The entertainment was good although as we were there earlier in the season, not up to full speed. One day when it rained the staff came round with a trolley with books, games and cards. They even had Italian classes! Would definitely go back and thoroughly recommend.

The directions to everywhere within the complex are poor, the handout map is useless because there are no labels on the drawings of buildings, and having to wander around the complex trying to find how to reach, then enter the restaurant is bad. Afterwards, walking back to the main hotel, the lighting is poor. I spent 3 hours in a&e following a fall at the top of a flight of steps on the first evening. And.... they don't have an accident report form! There is no info pack in the room so finding out what and where the facilities are is difficult, and I gave up on trying to organise a tour to somewhere else. Despite the number of English speaking guests, the barrista misunderstood a request for a receipt for purchase of a cappuccino, for a request for a slice of lemon! The 'secure' luggage room was unlocked and unsupervised on the day I used it. This is not 4 star in my view.

Came here from Moscow (family of 4 with 2 children) in June-July 2017. The hotel is good, the garden is splendid! There is also a large Olympic swimming pool surrounded by beautiful trees. The service is nice, the food is tasty:-) hotel staff is kind and friendly - special thanks to Carmelo, he is careful and professional. So we can definitely recommend this hotel especially for a family stay: good animation, very large green territory, picturesque neighborhood and many swimming pools. One thing we were upset about was many people smoking everywhere, we came here to breathe fresh air but instead got much smoke. As for the sea, in June it is cold and in July there are quite big waves and continuous wind, so it was difficult for us to enjoy swimming.

The staff at the hotel were polite and helpful, the reception staff could speak English but not many of the other staff could but this wasn't a problem after all we were in Sicily. The young entertainment staff were superb helpful, friendly and always had a smile for you whether 7am at breakfast or 12pm returning from an evening out. We stayed in a garden room that was clean and air conditioned set in beautiful grounds that were immaculately kept - then just a 5min walk and you were on the beach. There are coffee bars that serve the most delicious Italian ice cream plus alcohol as my husband has just pointed out. All in all this is one of the nicest hotels we have stayed in.

This is only a poor three star hotel, catering for packaged tour companies. Our party consisted of thirty plus persons over the age of sixty. All our rooms were situated away from the main hotel. They were situated on hilly slopes. Our rooms were dark and dingy, but were clean. Many of our party had difficulties with the various steps. Breakfast was exactly the same for our seven day stay. The only choice of hot food every morning , was hard boiled eggs, watery scrambled eggs, salty bacon and a frankfurter type sausage. The selection of the cold food and cereals were okay The evening hot buffet was okay but not very inspiring. The cold options were much better. The 'chefs ' serving the hot food were intimidating. Sullen,no warm greetings and begrudging when you asked for more. Very disappointed with the whole set up. Not recommended.

Just returned from a 14 night all inclusive stay at this fabulous resort hotel. We stayed in a garden room (673), that had been recently refurbished and in a beautiful quite location about 4 minutes walk from reception. Our room was large, bright and very clean. Our towels were changed everyday and the bedding was changed several times during our stay. Loved the added touch of bathrobes and slippers. Food is buffet style- Breakfast was pretty much the same everyday but fresh and plenty of variety.  Lunch can be taken either in the restaurant (buffet)or at the beach bar and Calypso bar (panini's, toastie, boxed salads etc) Evening meal is in the main restaurant and again buffet style. A varied selection of both hot and cold dishes that were well presented with plenty of choice. The desserts were amazing. You can also book the pizza restaurant but make your booking a day or two before to avoid it being fully booked. There's two main bars for the evening. The Olympus Bar and the Calypso Bar. Find Sergei in the Calypso Bar, he makes the BEST gin and tonic EVER. I can't really comment on the pools as we preferred the beach. Towels, sunbeds and parasols are included in the price if you're all inclusive (Thomsons/Firstchoice). However there is a charge if you want a sunbed on the first two rows. You can book your sunbed on the beach on a daily basis or the entirety of your stay. Giuseppe at the beach bar is fabulous and as busy as he is, he remembers your order and serves you with a smile. Entertainment is plentiful. There is a full day and night time itinerary, join in if you want to or sit back and relax. The animation team of around 50 young people are a credit to the hotel. They are polite, friendly and a pleasure to be around. A special mention for Lorenzo who is a member of the animation team, he is an absolute treasure and a fantastic ambassador for the hotel and Sicily/Italy its self. We were lucky to meet him on our first day, he gave us so much information and advice, not only about the hotel/resort but on the surrounding areas and Sicily as a whole. Lorenzo is a very engaging and intelligent young man, who in our opinion goes above and beyond the call of duty to make the guests feel welcome and well informed. You couldn't wish to meet a nicer young man. Would we return to this hotel? Yes, yes, yes.
