Quality Inn2.5 out of 5.0

This was without doubt the worst hotel we have stayed in whilst visiting the USA. Despite offering Quality Choice four opportunities to respond to our complaints before posting a review none was forthcoming. Love Jesus stickers on practically every surface, fixture and fittings literally falling apart, room dirty and linen filthy. Dreadful breakfast of items inedible.
We are Hurricane evacuees. Couldn't have found a better place to shelter. Economical, clean, comfortable. Owner insisted on helping us unload our heavily packed car with all my husband's medical equipment he requires and bringing it to our room to set up. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. Made a very stressful situation much easier.
We rolled into this Q.I. very early in the morning and, although we didn't stay long, had a positive experience here. We found the front desk attendant very friendly and helpful. The room was pretty average: reasonably clean, spacious, comfy beds, and an extra-large shower. The decor around the hotel showed signs of wear, but there were also signs of updates. Occasionally, there was trace of smoke smell in the non-smoking area (NOTE: this is not a smoke-free hotel), but it was by no means strong of overpowering. The breakfast was also pretty standard for the Choice Hotels brand. All things considered, it was a good stay. Don't expect a lot of frills; just expect a basic Quality Inn experience, and you should be pretty pleased when it's all said and done.
Clean room, comfortable bed, friendly service, good AC, HD TV with SEC network and really hot water. However, breakfast was very average, TV had to be manually turned on, and no elevator. So if you're on second floor, luggage cart does no good. Close to I-59 and you can hear louder traffic from room.
A hooker or drug dealer, have no idea which one they were, pounded on our window twice between 2:30AM & 3:30AM. The hostess knocked on our door till we answered before 9AM! The owner charged us again ($84.74x2) instead of refunding us. Their English and competence were less than average. Their franchise ownership should be pulled immediately as of 4/10/2017. Worst hotel experience of my life. Also, the night clerk was not welcoming.
We pulled off the highway around 11pm and checked in with no problems. The room was just OK - not new not old but very "used". Which was fine. About 3am someone knocked loudly on our window and it was very scary. About 10 minutes later another loud knocking. We opened the window curtain and there was a lady outside the window and we told her to get out of here. We called the front desk and told them what happened and they said we would get a refund. Before 9am they knocked on our door for room cleaning waking us up again. We complained and were told we would get a refund. We were DOUBLE charges for the room and they said it was our banks fault. The woman got very aggressive with us behind the counter and actually pointed her finger in our face.
This hotel is close to the highway. Cleaning could be a tad better, If the previous occupants lollypop stick is still on the floor you wonder how well the rest was cleaned. Decent breakfast. We appreciated that the TV was set to quiet background music whit the headlines played in. That way those who do not want a lot of News talk in the morning still get the news. Good breakfast selection. Unfortunately they run out of coffee when we arrived for breakfast and it still had not refilled when we left. Grabbed fresh coffee finally when we checked out. I have to say the friendly lady taking care of breakfast was the same lady who worked the check out that morning.
the stay was great the hospitality of the front desk was wonderful very gracious. The owner was a blessing, I was there and the check out time was near and I couldn't start my truck with my r v attached to it and he took time out to come and jump my truck off. I was on the road in minutes. Thank You to the staff there. God Bless you all. will stay again.
After two attempts to get into my room because the key would not work I finally get in and find the trash had not been emptied. I later go into the bathroom to find a brown toilet bowl. The water was far enough down i could barely tell there was any in it . I then decided to flush to see if the brown would wash down and the toilet overflowed. Someone had to have known this had they cleaned the toilet . Anyway I was given another room . This time the owner couldn't get the door open until he used the master key. I will pass this place by next time.
Spent a Sunday night there. Check is was easy. I had a 2nd floor room and no elevator in building. The room was ok, nothing to brag about. It was quiet and bed was comfortable. The free breakfast was plenty enough to fill up on. Standard hotel breakfast fare.
