We couldn’t even stay there it was so terrible. There was no light outside so the property was dark when we arrived. The room was filled with mosquitos, the door did not have a lock on it, the WiFi could only handle one of our phones at a time and was slow. The sheets were dirty. The A/C barely pumped air and there were openings in the ceiling so bugs could easily get in. The floor had dust and sand on it. The person checking us in didn’t have any information about where we could go to buy water bottles, where to eat dinner, how to order a taxi. I have never been so upset that I left a hotel to stay elsewhere. I’m absolutely shocked that it has such high ratings on multiple sites. This is not a hotel or a motel. It is barely camping.

Pictures on website are super edited. It is horrible. Not clean at all. Green pool. Bug all over the place. Not well kept at all. I understand it is outdoors but they dont keep up with the maintenance or housekeeping. Dont get fooled by the pics or good reviews. I ended up looking for somewhere to stay in Merida and very disappointed.

This place is fine. Maybe a little rougher than what it appears. That’s OK. Just realize it’s more camping style. there’s no food service and only one restaurant in walking distance. Also don’t expect them to warn about Red Tide at the beach.

There was a small kitchen area where you are able to cook your own food. The bed was nice and large, but a little stiff. The employees here do not speak English, but are very friendly and willing to use a translator to communicate. Overall I would definitely recommend these Cabanas. You're very close to the town of Chelem, which is a cute town, but not very touristy, so most people do not speak English.

Beautiful place.

Beautiful property and place. We stayed in the 2 story suite which was lovely. It gets really hot on the top floor though which is the bedroom. The air conditioner can’t really keep it cool enough since it’s a palapa and lots of open air. It gets windy at night so that’s nice with windows open. Air conditioner dripped down on your head though in the middle of the night so had to turn it off. Private little pool was our favorite.

The property was beautiful and peaceful. They take obvious pride in the cleanliness and upkeep of the cabanas. Staff were very friendly and accommodating and handled our language barrier with great patience. Would definitely stay here again.

Not only safe and quiet but kid and dog friendly as well. If you’re not a guest there, you should be. I’m booking another night then going to the beach; which I haven’t seen yet. They treat every guest as VIP. Let loose relax at this gem I promise it’s worth it. World class seafood right across the street. Thanks for the love shown me here
