Took 3 days before they got the door key mechanism to work (they had to replace it in the end). This meant failing to get in, returning to reception, getting new keycard made, returning to room, failing to get in, returning to reception and then accompanied back to room with a machine to override the door lock. This went on every time we went back up to the room for 3 days. Shower screen fitment was coming off the wall. Towels were frayed. A water leak from room above has caused some of the ceiling to come down and to stain part of the ceiling. Curtains in room were coming off their runners. The uniforms of the waiters looks old (shirts were no longer pure white). Lift doors had a mind of their own and lift often just ignored calls. It was all a little sad, a repaint and refresh would have made all the difference.
After spending a disappointing and noisy night in the hotel we had booked fo 11 days over the wine festival, we moved into a junior suite with balcony here and were very happy with the change. The location is ideal, staff more than went out of their way to help us with plans for winery visits, and enjoying all the wine festival events. The breakfast buffet was beautifully presented and had a large choice of everything. Serving staff were helpful and efficient at refilling everything. The park opposite is being replaced so noise was a bit of an issue and my husband fell on the dug up sidewalk too. Cleaning staff were mostly excellent, although we had to call housekeeping a few times for forgotten items.
This hotel needs refurbished soon. Our group of four was displeased with the rooms. The bathrooms need attention. We asked for tissue and never got any until the next day. One room didn't have a phone that worked. Management had to knock on their door for a wake-up call. We felt the staff did not clean off the tables adequately in the breakfast room. The help didn't remove all the silverware left on the table when a customer left and wiped off the place mats with dirty napkins left by the customers. It was definitely unappetizing. I would look elsewhere for lodging.
The rooms are decent size, beds comfortable and the breakfast is ok. It is a bit worn so don’t have huge expectations. But the few times I’ve visited it’s always been clean. Location is very nice. Be sure to print out your reservation at home so you’ll have proof of your reservation to avoid “fully booked, no reservation “ - type of a situation
Hello. Things not working in the room, in desperate need of a rebury. Claimed they didn't have a booking for us for more than one night when it had been booked several months in advance, and we had the paperwork. Breakfast poor. Moved to the Hyatt for some luxury and great service for just £20 a night more. Wouldn't recommend.
Rooms are ok, I was never too cold or too hot. Comfortable and spacious beds. Bathroom a bit shabby, black mould in places and the veneer was peeling off the bottom of the door. Not many English-speaking channels on tv -but then why should there be in Argentina?! Lifts worked well. Plenty of choices at breakfast. Reception service was problem-free; but one man seemed aloof.
The rooms are dated, much wear and tear. Low ceilings and inadequate airco result in moisty rooms. Location is very good, staff at reception is friendly and well versed in English. Breakfast staff seemed not very motivated, leading to continuous stock-outs at buffet table.
This hotel could do with a little refresh but if all you're doing is heading out or back from Aconcagua I believe it's just fine. They process a large amount of changes due to the nature of Aconcagua so you may be back earlier and they do a great job at managing that. It's right in the center so you're next to everything. My only negative is the breakfast bar isn't working. Staff constantly filling tiny plates of servings being fruits, eggs, bread, etc. Ditch it and replace it with a proper buffet instead. Otherwise, staff was extremely helpful. Enjoy!
Luckily only stayed for one night in this place. Ugly. Very old, crapy bathrooms and extremely unfriendly service. Location good. Try to avoid! Restaurant looked odd. In desperate need of renovation. View from rooms seem all to face the wall of a neighboring house.
The Hotel is very well situated in the heart on Mendoza and it is connected to the outside world via WIFI. Breakfast is great and the bed and room super, especially after 15 days in the mountains. Friendly staff and a great experience.
