Is is what it says on the can. Well located in the centre of Mendoza, this fairly modern hotel would benefit from a refit. Other than that it provides everything you would expect in terms of rooms and facilities. Friendly staff. Small car park in the hotel but another nearby.
The hotel is in great location. They provide parking but it's small space so it's limited to 10 cars. Wi-Fi and breakfast is included, and Wi-Fi is accessible in your room. The only but is with rooms. They are a little bit outdated and need some renovation.
We stayed at the NH hotel for two nights, thankfully we were not at the hotel a lot because a lot of things were not in order. The airconditioning in the room was not working so i slept with the door wide open. The key of the door was not working 80 procent of the time so we made a lot of extra trips downstairs for a new key. The staff of the front desk was very unfriendly. I would not reccomend this hotel.
Rooms are in need of some refurbishing, but it did the job. And the great location and staff fully compensated for that. At the moment of my stay (and for the remaining of 2017) the park in front of the hotel will be close for works, but there is another park 3 blocks away.
Greatly located in downtown Mendoza, the hotel is perfect for business. The hotel is not big and does not have great views, but is quiet. The rooms need urgent refurbishing. The a/c was not working and the rooms were extremely warm, it was 45F outside and I had to sleep with the window open in order to not suffocate. The staff was extremely helpful and changed me to another room out of the sun. Wifi was good.
The lady in front desk did not have any customer service orientation. I was not happy for the treatment. Hotel location is excellent, near to restarurants etc. IT's good Hotel for one night stay but I wouldn't neccesserly be there longer.
Our room was rather small, but clean and did the job. Since Mendoza is such an active and outdoorsy town filled with activities, we did not find ourselves in the hotel for hours at a time. The breakfast had a good spread, and the hotel provided nice areas to rest and wait downstairs. The hotel was clean, modern, and up to date, but lacked charm. The staff was nice and attentive, but could not pay personal attention to each guest because of the grandiose size of the hotel.
This hotel does not have AC. What they have is a "Central Control" meaning that they say the entire Hotel is set to a specific temperature. The rooms have AC controls and thermostats but they do not work. Air will blow but not cool. When you ask at the front desk they will confirm that they have only to find out hours latter when you complain that they do not and they will not refund your night. Stay away.
We first stayed at this hotel 10 years ago and unfortunately it is showing it's age. Not much in the way of updating has been done during this time. There had previously been a flood in our bathroom so there was black mold in some of the grout, the ceiling was peeling away, the door was warped and would not shut all the way, the door frame had paint scratched away because of this, and the wooden floor in the main room was damaged. The walls were quite dirty, the lamps were old and discoloured and wallpaper was peeling in places. For some reason our room had no mini-bar at all and the air-con did not work. Positives were that the room was quiet, and the curtains and headboard were newish. Usually we would ask for another room, but just decided to not deal with this for a short stay. The breakfast was quite good for local standards and the staff were nice. On our last breakfast we were asked to move tables and the whole entire buffet had to be moved because there was a massive, gushing leak in the ceiling from the rain overnight (even though it did not rain much). On top of this, the whole plaza by the hotel was being ripped up and the street outside the front door is also torn up. This was a major eye sore and a bit inconvenient for getting taxis in the rain. It's too bad, because this hotel has potential, but I'd totally have to recommend other hotels in Mendoza. This was my 4th visit to the city and there are better hotels for value.
My friend and i stayed here for 3 nights and the staff couldn't have been more helpful or accomodating if they tried. They had amazing recommendations were able to schedule and arrange things for us and make sure we saw/did everything we wanted. The rooms are clean and nice and the breakfast (while not included for us) was everything you need for a modest price. It was in a great location. I would recommend it 100%.
