Upsides - terrace was beautiful. Great to have a garage. There’s a walking path into town that takes about 20 minutes. Downsides - one set of keys doesn’t work to lock the front door from the inside and the blow dryer didn’t work. Address doesn’t populate on google or Apple Maps and the directions are quite confusing on how to find the place.

What a view !

The outlook is magnificent. Once you correctly negotiate the drive to the correct property, there is a pedestrian path down to the village which takes just over 10 minutes. The villa is spacious and eating in is a delight on the balcony. The wi-fi needs substantial improving but that was our only complaint. Very enjoyable. We are glad that we ignored some earlier negative reviews.

Worse VBRO experience

This VBRO was horrible. The location was very very difficult to find, and once we found the correct gate, correct garage to park, the unit smelled like freshly painted and the fumes were bad. Gave us a headache. We did not stay and had to find a hotel last minute.

Piękny widok!

Mieszkanie bardzo klimatyczne, z przepięknym widokiem. W pełni wyposażone. Nie jest najnowsze, ale dla widoku warto. Zgodnie z poprzednimi komentarzami pościel nie jest najświeższa. Do centrum Mennaggio około 800 m- 1km, spacerkiem. Lekko uciążliwe jest odbierania i zwracanie kluczy w innym miejscu niż mieszkanie.

Cleanliness not Up to Standard/Great Location and View

The location and view is definitely incredible, however this was the dirtiest rental we have ever come across. The blankets looked like they had never been cleaned and there was blood on one. The pillows were absolutely appalling with gross stains and no pillow protectors. There were dead bugs and cobwebs everywhere. There was no AC so we wanted to keep the windows open, however all of the screens were broken and had holes in them. The second bedroom with twin beds had black dirty fingerprints all over the walls. While the property manager did have someone come clean and replaced 2 pillows and gave us a blanket, I certainly don’t think the price was worth what we paid for it given the state of the apartment. I would question any listing from this rental company.

Views are fantastic! The apartment was quaint but definitely needed cleaning as there were dead bugs everywhere. The main bedroom mattress was a challenge as it was 2 single mattresses and they would separate from the middle. Gave me a bad back for a few days!. I would recommend reupholstering the living area chair and ottoman as it was really old, dirty and shabby. Location is a little secluded but one definitely needs a car to commute. Overall it was ok. The terrace views make up for the shortcomings.

Sehr schöne Aussicht. Möbel sind in die Jahre gekommen. Keine Adapter für die Lampen vorhanden. Kleine Mängel bei der Beleuchtung und Gasherd. Aussicht einmalig. Lage ruhig und sehr abgeschieden. Gut zum relaxen. Auto ist ein muss.

Une vue magnifique, mais un logement vétuste

Le balcon avec vue plongeante sur le lac est magnifique. La ville de Menaggio est un endroit charmant et charnière vers d'autres destinations comme Varenna, Lenno ou Bellagio. Il existe un parking privé qui permet de s'affranchir de la voiture pendant le séjour. Par contre , il faut environ 20 minutes à pied pour rejoindre les commodités et l'embarcadère .. ce qui implique d'organiser sa journée.. et le retour est assez sportif : beaucoup de dénivelé! L'appartement est vétuste, par rapport au prix payé par nuit: tête de lit grinçante, on entend les voisins , la lumière ne marchait pas dans la chambre des enfants , fourmis un peu partout.. Enfin , et c'est dommage, la pus communique l'adresse email d'un "concierge" censé aider à organiser des excursions ou autres loisirs... j'avais demandé en avance une aide pour organiser une surprise pour l'anniversaire de ma femme , pas de réponse (dommage). En conclusion, une location très bien située (sauf pour les familles qui veulent être rapidement proches des commodités), et ne pas craindre la vétusté de l'appartement (rapport qualité/prix).
