I have stayed in several vacation homes and I’ve never left this type of review. I gave the owners several opportunities to fairly compensate us for the inconvenience but they didn’t! My family of 7 came to Memphis for a football game. We arrived and the grass wasn’t cut, the “pool” was green, and there was a Jack Daniels and grape soda bottle sitting outside. We walk in and there are piles of towels laying around, unmade beds, and trash in trash cans. I called the manager immediately. She said that the house had to be clean and I kept telling her it wasn’t. She then asked for pictures to be sent. I took and sent pics. She then said she would call the cleaners to come and clean the house. I told her that we had dinner reservations and we needed to shower and get dressed. I asked if they could clean the bathrooms and get us some clean towels and they did. We waited. They left and returned after we were done getting dressed. The manager called me a few times to see when we would be done, like we were taking too long or something! I asked if we would be compensated for the inconvenience and she offered a very minimal amount. It wouldn’t have been enough to buy my guest a drink at dinner. They did allow us to check out at noon because I asked! The cleaners were pleasant and thank the Lord they only lived 10 minutes away. The house is nice but if you inconvenience your paying customers you should be fair with compensation! I wasn’t asking for all our money back, but FAIR compensation!!!!
