Stamford Plaza Melbourne

I stayed in Stamford as a part of a great package deal. My stay at Stamford was excellent and comfortable. I would stay at this hotel every time I am in Melbourne provided there are similar deals. Marina

Very nice hotel with good service in central part of town.

Hotel did not have our booking. Inspite of showing them the printed receipt with full payment , kept on asking for repayment . They should have called the provider to confirm

My fiance and I stayed at the Samford Plaza mainly due to its walking-distance location from the Australian Open venues. Our room was larger than expected (though with a queen-sized bed) and had a jetted tub.

Dated furniture, cramped bathrooms, inaccessible cupboards and spartan clothing space. Location is only saving grace - king size bed was ok but in cramped space. Inner windows and verandah overlooking internal atrium/lobby is bizarre. Little natural light in room. Wi Fi extra cost unjustified

Our stay at Stamford was terrific. The staff was very friendly. The Concierge services were fabulous...big thanks to Danielle, Nick and Reuben for helping us with tours, info. on Melbourne and Australian Open tips. The room was spacious and very comfortable. Hotel location is ideal as it is close to many places within walking distance. I wish the hotel would provide free wi-fi, but Melbourne overall doesn't have free wi-fi in most places. I would definitely stay at this hotel again in the future...highly recommend it to anyone.

Exquisite suite in central Melbourne plus a free drink in Harry's Bar downstairs - what more could you ask for? Perhaps a reasonably priced breakfast: the $39 pp buffet was more than we wanted or could afford, so we went across the street. Reasonable dining was within walking distance including Pelligrini's Bar (which unfortunately is not licensed).

Convenient location for shopping. Hotel staff are friendly and ever willing to assist us should we have problems with the room. The room lived up to its 5 star rating.

All good

Great location, within walking distance to everything. Lots of cool amenities like jacuzzi bathtub in room, indoor pool and spa, fitness area, lounging bar and restaurant. Heater and jacuzzi tub jets were not working when we arrived but they quickly fixed both. Food was expensive and just average tasting. Hotel doesn't have parking so you valet for $35 a night, although I think most of the hotels have the same set up. Public parking is even more expensive. Overall, great hotel and worth the money.

The room was very spacious and the staff was helpful with directing me to sightseeing opportunities in Melbourne. The location is perfect since it is in the hear of the CBD ( Central Business District ).

Nice, clean, quiet, good location. Not the best view, and the pool is on the small side, but overall nice place to stay.

I wouldn't describe the hotel in the 5 star catorgary. It is a long way from the "Mandarin" in Singapore,or most of the Hiltons we have stayed at.However the booking arrangement with Orbitz was superb---as usual.
