Chic and nice design, with nice service crew

Reception crew was awesome; upon check-in while we were still finding out where’s the entrance, one of the service crew quickly came out and helped us with our luggages. Another staff also recommended restaurants which we might be interested in. However, we feel that the air in the room was rather dry. Cleaning was also quite ok except that the conditioner was not refilled on the first day. Distance wise, it is a little distance from core city centre. However, there’s a couple of cafes nearby for breakfast options. Overall, great!

Found a gem!!

Brand new and so well done!! Rooms aren’t huge, but big enough & well thought out! Decor is welcoming but not stuffy!! Bar/restaurant on 25th floor was fantastic!! Not the trendy part of Melbourne CBD but only a short walk…close to Docklands & easier to get to from the airport than other parts of the city! Staff are so friendly & helpful!! Will definitely be back!

I will never stay here again. The rooms are NOT soundproof at all. They have timber floors so I could hear walking above us, and a chair being moved around. I also heard someone in a nearby room take a shower, and i heard everything toilet flush from that same neighbour. Bathroom has no door. The toilet is in a cubicle but the door does not cover floor to ceiling. Also no extractor fan above the toilet. Instead the extractor fan is above the shower. Unfortunately, you will be in bed and smell your partners poop. What a clever design. Its so dumb! The hallway is also extremely echoey, you hear people walking past and their doors shuting woke me up several times throughout the night. You also hear every train go by (every few mins, non stop) if you are lucky enough to be put on that side of the building. On every level, rooms 1 through 11, from a total 15 rooms, face the train line. So you have > 70% chance of train noise all night long. FUN We also booked 2 rooms and they didnt have the courtesy or common sense to put us in connecting rooms. One of our rooms had a door to the next room so we knew they have connected rooms. Also, after telling them twice that we did NOT want daily cleaning service to enter our rooms, they entered our rooms to clean them. Thats an absolute invasion of privacy! Hands down one of the worst 5 star hotels I have ever stayed in, will NOT recommend. It's a pity I can't give them 0/5 review.
