I loved the $6 breakfast, very similar to the 30 yuan breakfast at the Traditional View Hotel in Beijing, which is my favourite hotel in the world.
Tiny budget hotel with windows that don't close, thin, thin walls and random strange banging noises that go on all night in the ally (where our window was facing).
Very close to Southern Cross Station, great value for money CBD accommodation.
walk distance from the skybus terminal. rooms are clean but small. you will find everything you need there...fridge, hair dryer, coffee maker, iron, safe deposit, etc. nice little hotel
We had a reservation for 5 nights and checked out after 2. There were cockroaches in our room. The door didn't close on it's own (we had to throw our weight into opening/closing it). There is a restaurant nearby, but I didn't actually see any access from within the hotel. The walls are paper thin. We didn't feel safe or clean.
Small and quaint, but very friendly. Melbourne has a good bus system so getting around was not a problem. hotel wasn't very far from local attractions and landmarks.
