Well I asked and booked for a 3 bed 2 bath for 6 adults. Before I arrived the dates got mixed up. When we arrived, we were told were being upgraded - well I am sorry but it was almost like a downgrade. Picture my husband lugging a large roller suitcase up a spiral staircase to a twin bedded room and ensuite with two catchy steps to it. The layout of the unit was not what I needed for adult couples. The room off the living room was for kids and the bottom queen size bed was meant to use the other bathroom???? Nothing worked. The tv antenna had been pulled from the tv so it was broken. The staff did find another tv but the twin beds were tied together on the mattresses. The dishwasher had no tablets to use it and they would only give me ONE! Toilet seat in ensuite broken. Fans in bottom toilet and bathroom did not work. A terrible smell was coming from the pipes. The smell on entering the garage was shocking walking past all the garbage bins. The lift buttons were all broken. There was patching on all of the walls in the rooms and the power points did not work. I am sorry but if you cleaned the place up and gave people what they asked for you would do really well. Your location is great and your staff friendly but give people what they ask for. I didn;t expect the world and I didn't get much at all.

Telephone was not working, heater was hard get it to work , needed to wash your own dishes , they only make your bed and clean had bathroom , best wash the location , walking distance to Etihad Stadium and Spencer Outlets shopping centre

I booked this place at the last minute as my aparthotel room had cancelled with 5 days notice. Given the price point, I wasn't expecting very much but I wasn't prepared for the poor state of the rooms. This hotel is extremely dated hotel - more like a half way house - from the lighting, the carpet, furniture and appliances. Just horrible. Staff were friendly enough but very unhelpful management. A fellow traveler accidentally booked a non-refundable room for the wrong night. An honest mistake. But they refused to change or cancel the booking and instead charged him another night to stay. The room he got was beyond disgusting - dirty carpets and walls, appliances not working and the front door wouldn't even close. And the noise.. ! Neither of us would stay here again or recommend it to anyone.

Here's hoping Mae the hotel manager gets back to me soon. After making an honest mistake and booking a room for the wrong date, they are refusing to authorise the refund, even though I did stay there the night I was wanting to originally book for. Please get back to me so we can sort this honest mistake out.

This hotel was very clean and functional, with good quality linen on the beds. The rooms contain a microwave, small fridge and plenty of equipment to cook for yourself, so this is a very economical option for travellers not wanting to pay for restaurant meals or take away. Coles supermarket is a five minute walk away and is open long hours. It's well located on several tram routes, and about a 7 minute walk from Southern Cross station with luggage. However, being so close to tram routes means that the building is quite noisy, so take ear plugs or noise cancelling headphones with you. The free internet is quite slow, so if you're a business traveller consider taking a mobile internet dongle with you instead. There are plenty of powerpoints in the room, beside the bed and at the small desk in the room, so it's quite functional for those who need to get work done.

The harbour view apartment hotel is a fantastic location and walking or tram ride to everything. The restaurant is delicious and we enjoy eating there every visit. The 3 bedroom apartment is well set out, clean and very comfortable. The apartment is looking a little tired and could do with fresh paint and carpet. Also the kitchen cooking utensils were non existent so you had no tongs, egg flip or even a stirring spoon, if you wanted to cook. The tram noise is loud in the night but a good trade off for the view and location.

I have been here a few times, as it is great value for money on a last minute city break. The location is great on the corner of Spencer and Latrobe Streets and literally is across the road from Southern Cross station and great if you going to Ehitad Stadium for a show or the footy. Staff are friendly enough and check in is hassle free but the apartments is where the low point is, they are very dated and dark, which doesn't do justice to the great potential this complex has, but its functional and has the basics of what you need. They have a parking lot which is next door and secured and is $11 for the night and there are plenty of great eateries and bars around.

If you want a microwave etc, this is for you. The rooms are functional, the location is excellent (handy to Southern Cross railway station, CBD, casino and Docklands) with free trams right outside to anywhere in the city precinct. A little cafe on the ground floor is handy if you don't want to be outside after dark and the food is quite okay.

The apartment looked tired and worn. The guys at reception were nice and I was upgraded, but I am scared to think what we could have got! The "upgraded" room was dirty, power switches etc were really greasy, I went to turn on the side table light and the switch was covered in a sticky substance! I had to get up and wash my hands!! I had to become the cleaner to stay there! Gross! The floor is badly stained, it needs to be carpet cleaned ASAP! Air con doesn't work, there are no views despite the name of the hotel. The hot water runs out quickly and the next person will freeze in the shower. It had a really old couch to watch tv on. There was no tv in the bedroom and the room had poor Wifi. For a business man, a good internet is essential. But it did have easy access to Southern Cross Station and the Skybus which is the cheapest way to get into the city from the airport. There was a tram stop outside, and the hotel is in the free tram zone.

Given the amount of money we paid and compared to other apartments we have stayed at in the city we were very disappointed. The decor in our room needs a major overhaul. The lounge suite is very uncomfortable and unacceptable. The carpet in places is very tatty. The bathroom also needs some attention. On the upside, good location, quick and efficient check in.
