We stayed in a powered site and even though it was Spring it was still really cold, so the heated bathrooms were wonderful and the shower was great. The children's playground was good but unfortunately, the pool was not heated enough and was very cold and the Kids Activity Room had nothing in it.
Highly recommend this Discovery park. . Stayed in a two bedroom cabin, with all amenities. Just 9 kms from the city - an easy drive to all locations in the city. Also a great area for the children to play with a heated pool and Spa. Will definitely stay there again. Located right next to a shopping centre, Also the staff were very friendly and helpful.
Booked power ensuite site over $70 for a night. Quite high. Big ensuite and good concrete site. Nice park loads of features. But when it comes to showering in ensuite there is the most lowest pressure I have experienced anywhere. May as well not showered it was so bad. Then spotting hairs all in shower turned us both off. That's disgusting they were big black hairs. Toilet seat loose and basin dirty. Really disappointed.
We were in a Superior Studio cabin and all I can say is Wowza. Upon entering the room we were blown away with how good it was. Clean, Comfy, Cosy and spacious with all the amenities you need. The owners were delightful also. Thank you for an amazing 16 night stay. We will be back time and time again now.
We were in a room that slept 6. Cabin was very very comfortable and clean, all the must haves for a week stay. Friendly staff, right next to a woolworths (so convenient), beds were just right. Park had everything to keep the kids entertained, could do with a spa though ... Spa room jets don't work. If you want a quiet stay, don't stay here, its right under a flight path so planes are VERY loud. Excellent stay though
I booked 15 nights accommodation, my third or fourth stay at the property this year while I attend uni in Melbourne. On check in I was advised the unit would be serviced weekly ie the following Monday which was 7 days. Having been sick for that first seven days with the flu including fever sweats, I needed the linen changed at that midpoint ie Monday. I tried to confirm this with the cleaning staff on the Sunday, they advised me to go to the office to check. Despite being sick with the flu, I walked up there, to find a very long line with multiple people from a car rally checking in so went back to my cabin. I made arrangements to be out all day Monday and packed up all my university work so the cleaning could happen. Tried to confirm the cabin cleaning Monday morning with the cleaning staff who were working on a cabin opposite. I was told they were really busy but if I only required a partial clean like linens and bathroom, she would ask the manager. She radioed that request, the response was a flat no. I went up to the main office to complain that they were not intending to do the weekly clean. I was told by the staff member at the counter that they won’t do any cabin services on Mondays, basically no discussion would be entered into. This contradicts the information at check in the cabin would be serviced weekly. I said I wanted to make a formal complaint, was advised I would need to email a complaint. I wasn’t happy with that as I was standing in their office, asked why should I have to go and log in and email something back to that office, that staff member needed to pass on the complaint to the manager. I went out for that day as I’d arranged to allow the cleaners to do the servicing, didn’t hear anything about my complaint, arrived back and of course the cleaning hadn’t happened. So, night 8 with no cleaning or change of linen. I waited Tuesday morning until 10.30am, couldn’t delay my uni work any longer so unpacked everything again. Still nothing – no cleaners, no contact about my complaint. A person came and took the dirty linen but didn’t replace anything – no towel, handtowel or tea towel, as she was leaving the cabin I asked for a time for the cleaning to be confirmed. This person wasn’t happy, but did radio the cleaners and gave me an estimate. The cleaners when they arrived - lovely ladies - took only about 15 minutes as all I wanted done was the linen changed and the bathroom cleaned. Still haven’t heard back from any management about the complaint I made Monday morning. A very disappointing result given how often I’ve stayed here. This place has gone from my preferred location, to my fallback location if I can’t avoid it. I don’t think it’s okay to leave sick people with dirty linen for 8 days and management not bothering to respond.
Stayed one night in a one bedroom cabin. Well maintained cabin in a quiet part of the park. Better price through booking.com . Friendly staff on check in but guests are required to sign a form with very fine print listing a series of conditions. The form should be in normal size print. There is bus to the city from just outside the park but we have stayed several times and found the train from Tottenham Station, just down the road, is more convenient.
Cabin was very clean and had everything that we needed and more. Bed is very comfortable as was the couch to watch TV. Cooking appliances and utensils were spot on. Catch a bus to the city out the front of the park, you can also get your myki cards from reception. Woolworths are next door and the Ashley Hotel has very nice meals just a 5 minute walk from the park, a further 5 minute drive along Ashley Street will get you to a group of takeaway food shop. The pizzas are great. The only downside about the park is that it is directly underneath the flight path into Tullamarine Airport and Tullamarine do not have flight curfews. Overall a great place to base yourself if your going to the footy or just visiting Melbourne.
We stay here quite often throughout the year and it's always a pleasure to check in and stay a few nights here. But this time we checked in on the 25th July and checked out on the 28th July. When I checked in on Thursday afternoon I was greeted by a lady by the name of Edita and she was so rude her customer service needs a lot of training.... She made our stay here miserable from the moment we checked in. The room we stayed in 224 was nice... Although there was hair left in both bathrooms and rice was left in the kitchen cupboard. The bathroom that comes off the bedroom its towel rail would fall everytime we put a Towel on it. I will be back again only because the kids and myself enjoy this park. But let's hope our next stay here in August is more pleasurable than this one.
Family of 13 and we stayed in 3 cabins, facing the heated pool. Close to Woolies which opens till late. The cabins are clean and fully equipped with stove, oven, etc. Loved that the location is close to city and also many eateries that open till late. The staff are also very helpful and friendly when approached. Highly recommended.
