The house was fine but we were awakened at 12:15am by an unknown man walking into our house and turning the light on. The host had double booked the property. We had to wake up and discuss this with the other family, showing our booking details etc. We helped them contact the host, who did nothing to help them and didn't reach out to us to see if we were ok. My husband contacted the other family the next day to check if they were ok and it turns out they had to sleep in their car that night, after waiting for well over an hour for the host to arrive to talk to them. No alternative accomodation was offered them. We were completely exhausted for our long journey the next day, as we had stayed awake in the house listening to the conversations happening just outside. And the hyper-vigilence and anxiety induced by being walked-in-on in the middle of the night didn't make us feel able to go back to sleep. The first we heard from the host was 3 days after our departure when they accused us of stealing 2 cushions which we certainly didn't steal. I would not recommend this place because of our terrible experience with the host. We asked them for a partial refund, given our fairly traumatic experience and they sent us a message shifting blame to a system issue, but taking no personal responsibility for the double booking and the upset it caused to 2 tired families but rather made a cryptic reference to the universe being governed by natural laws.
