Close to Elwood Park, Elwood Sailing Club, coffee shops, restaurants, and the Ormond Road shopping strip, with buzzy St Kilda just a short car trip away. The apartment comes with a car space and is conveniently close to public transport options.
The Space: Carpeted 1 bedroom, 1 bathroom apartment and the first room you’ll see off the hallway to the right is a light, bright bathroom featuring stylish white tiles with black tile accents.
A full-sized bathtub and shower are combined with a modern frameless glass screen. Continue down the hallway and you’ll come to the kitchen, fully-appointed with 4-burner gas cooktop and oven, microwave, and family-sized fridge. The kitchen is also home to an Electrolux front loader washing machine. Back in the hallway to the left is the bedroom with a queen sized bed and a built-in wardrobe with ample hanging space. Large bedroom windows look out on to a peaceful leafy view and have both block-out blinds and curtains.
At the end of the hallway, you’ll arrive at the living room which has large picture windows with the same leafy outlook in the bedroom. Sheer curtains and block-out blinds enable you to control both light and privacy. The sofa can be converted into a double bed, bringing the total sleeping capacity of the apartment to 4 people if needed. There is a ‘smart’ TV and a wall-mounted electric heating unit.
The Neighborhood: The apartment is ideally located, literally a 6 minute stroll to Elwood Beach and a short walk to Elwood Park and Elwood Sailing Club, coffee shops, restaurants and the Ormond Road shopping strip. It’s also just a short car trip to buzzy St Kilda.
Getting Around: Although the apartment comes with its own dedicated parking space, if you prefer public transport, the area is serviced by bus and Melbourne’s iconic trams to get you into the CBD (Downtown) in under an hour.
Elsternwick Train Station is just 20 minutes away on foot.
Other Things to Note: * Before you arrive you will be asked to complete guest verification through third-party provider Truvi. This is done to ensure we are keeping up-to-date with short-term rental regulations as well as providing both our guests and our properties with extra protection. Truvi will contact you via email and/or text to complete the verification. Please do so prior to arriving at the property to enable a quick and easy check-in process.
OTHER THINGS TO NOTE: * An additional $40 will be charged to your total if a check-in happens after 8 pm, and we require your arrival time as the Concierge does not live on site.
* A mandatory full clean of the property and complete linen change will be done every 4 weeks and added to your total booking amount for any booking longer than a month. This will be added to your total amount and processed separately.
* Extra $40/night will be charged for guests after 2 or if the sofa bed needs to be prepared.
*If you are eligible for a full refund as per our cancellation policy, a processing fee of $50 still applies.
*After check-in, if you choose to shorten your stay, you will receive a 50% refund of the unused nights of your booking.
* Please note that this property has been specifically catered for short-term rentals and is not a hotel.
* Due to strict noise policies in strata buildings and Australian council by-laws, guests must avoid making loud noise, particularly between the hours of 10 pm – 8 am. Please understand that guests who break this rule may be evicted and financial penalties may also apply, depending on the circumstances.

Great Location and Accomodating
My partner and I had the unfortunate position of having to move for a few weeks whilst our rental had to do a bathroom renovation due to some leaks.
The property manager for this property was very accomodating and responsive to our needs and when the property couldn’t be rented to us anymore they were quick to find suitable accomodating for the remaining time.
The property itself is a nice simple one bedroom with modern furnishings and a nice central locating in Elwood and the beach.
For the duration we stayed we probably needed a bit more wardrobe space to put our belongings but for a short stay this is suitable.
If we had to we would rent with Maisonettes again.

Good location shame about the property
Location good.
Old property with narrow stairs. Not good access for older patrons or those physically challenged.
Kitchen good plenty of light.
Bed was low and uncomfortable, clean. No where to put a suitcase except on the bed or sofa.
Two electric heaters. Only one worked.
Two lamps in the living room, only one worked.
No air conditioning.
Bedroom and living room had minimal natural light due to the proximity of the adjacent building.
Bathroom small but functional. Shower is in a narrow bath. Showering would be difficult for older people or this physically challenged.
Property manager unhelpful although she did make an effort to make contact but not really interested.
