Booked three rooms for a two-night stay and was extremely appalled with the absence of customer service and complacency of the management team. I had to check out in less than 12 hours. The level of noise from nearby rooms was unbearable and also the hotel tolerance towards guest smoking in the corridors are than two issues that turned my stay into a nightmare. I made four complaints and apparently the hotel management is too weak to enforce any regulations and seemed less eager to care for their guests. The photos below were taken after the four complaints (within 5 hrs) to hotel management. This shows the standard of the hotel. One photo shows guests having breakfast in the middle of the corridor and the other shows a guest comfortably smoking in the corridor. Both photos were taken within 10 meters form my room. As a caring father I decided to abandon my three fully paid rooms within 12 hours from checking in caring for the health of my children. The level of noise has been reported by other guests but no resolution has been made by the hotel management. It's sad to see such property with excellent location turns into a tourist trap. I wonder how such hotel is associated with a Swiss brand that often reflects highest hospitality standards!
We payed for a room but they gave us no parking space! They claimed that only suits are granted parking space. Also, one very rude employee called (Husain Alnakhli) stopped my brother at the door preventing him from entering to visit me! Of course with a very bad attitude.
I stayed in this hotel on Mar 06 and 07th. Very fast check-in and lots of counter for check-in and checkout. Beautiful lobby. Bell desk very active and friendly. Very delicious breakfast. Please book the breakfast along with your package other wise the breakfast price is very expensive. This is very closest to medina Haram.
Our stay was quite interesting, when we came to madina we will not hesitate to come back again.you need to improve on your food by putting more varieties and interchanging the kind of food to be displayed.
the reception queue Was with no doubt all the clients' nightmare! Not because of the crowd but because of the horrible treatment you will find from the hotel staff!! Being a receptionist in "Almadinah" you should be well trained about dealing with a crowd and under pressure but today I was very disappointed in everything! In the way they talked and treated the elderly, the way they shouted at ladies and ignored men requests! It was like a principal punishing all students! Yet, we were all faithful clients! The customers were the ones smiling and speaking politely despite waiting in the lobby for almost forever! And the staff were still super rude! I have never ever encountered a worst treatment through my world wide tours! What a shame! It's 5:35 pm at the moment and so many people are stacked in the lobby since early morning waiting for the rooms to be ready. We are still waiting and hoping to be called soon. We checked in but were told to wait for a call to inform us when the room is ready! Hope it will be soon.
Just when I thought a compliant in this platform would have inspired some self reformation. Im back at this highly rated hotel currently sitting at the reception for 2 hours waiting for a room, which I find absurd as the room has been prepaid in full!!! Not to mention the journey getting here is tiresome I have 2 kids with me who are throwing up all over the place due to exhaustion and all the incompetent people at the reception desk can do is look on and expect us to wait. Wait a second ... Here is an Arab complaining in a loud tone about the same thing and he is ushered away to the managers office (time to learn arabic) , while we are left to wait. Well if the current staff can't get the service right I suggest the Swiss step in and make some upgrades because I would never recommend a Mövenpick brand to any of my clients worldwide for a long time.
Since the beginning of the holly month of Ramadan I've stayed with my family in this wonderful hotel. It is very very close to the holly mosque, spacious clean rooms, and comfortable beds. The open buffet at breakfast and at Sohoor is huge and full of different varieties of dishes that suits the guests from every where in the world, the service was tremendous, and the waiters were very pleasant and helpful. In brief my stay over there was very distinguished.

After a not so great experience two years ago. We made the tough decision of giving this hotel a second chance. Firstly I would like to personally thanks Sameh who went above and beyond for my parents. He is the definition of a General Manager who really does have his customes best interests at heart. The driving force behind the success of this hotel! We were staying in a studio with Haram view ,with a free access to the executive floor in the 14th floor, so you can use the facilities of coffee , tea etc. I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND GOING FOR THIS ROOM TYPE. You will not be disappointed. Comfortable beds and beautiful views of the Masjid Nabwi. We wont go to any other hotel in Medina. This hotel is conveniently located across from the ladies gate. The room was clean, spacious and surpassed all expectations. Thank you Sameh Aisha
Everything about our stay was terrible. The room was very dirty and had the previous guests rubbish still in the bins. The bathroom wasn't clean and didn't have new toiletries stocked. We also found bugs and when we asked for a new room, we didn't hear back until we left. The service was practically non-existent. The hotel is completely overpriced and defnitely not the '5 stars' it says it is - but on the up side, the location is amazing. Just steps away from the Prophets Mosque and neighbouring restaurants/food court. But sadly, the hotel alone is a huge disappointment.
