We stayed at Intercontinental DAR Al Tawhid and the stay was very good and the service was excellent in the hotel as the reception was very warm as an IHG member and the hotel stuff was very welcoming and response
Visiting this hotel during hajj period in 2017. Located in front of King Fahd Gate so easily to access to Masjidil Haram. Excellent service, spacious and luxury room. Breakfast also excellent from western food and local. Recommended to stay when visit to Mecca.
I've spent two nights in this hotel following a recommendation from my friend Pros: location, room size and the haram view.. the best in Makkah Cons: i was disappointed on many levels; the hotel services are really expensive and you would expect in return to have a 5 stars quality service, but what I have experienced was completely different: the restaurant staff members were really rude, the food taste was average, and very slow check-in. The worst part for me was the staff behavior in Zamzam cafe and the rehab restaurant. Not sure if I will visit this hotel again.
As usual InterContinental Dar Al Tawhid Hotel is the best Hotel in the best city ever. Amazing location, amazing food, friendly staff and very very nice stay. If you want go to Makkah you must stay there. I can't stay in another hotel other than this outstanding hotel.
Hotel is excellent as usual same as my every stay. Location is matchless and luxury everywhere. An amazing smell in hotel lobby. Staff are so friendly and helpful. Hotel has a great food service and tasty food especially the breakfast. Reception are fast and friendly, our suite was ready with all our special preferences in the booking. Hotel and suite were very clean and fresh all the time but unfortunately no housekeeping female maid in the toilette. I always recommend this hotel although it is the most expensive one.
I have stayed many times at this hotel during my visit to Makkah and every time have left with great memories. Given this hotel is the closest to Al Haram - it probably serves thousands of guests for Umrah and Hajj and despite this the hotel has kept its ambience and its five star service. The staff do a splendid job looking after the guests. The lift system (especially at prayer times) is fantastic and they have plenty to serve everyone very quickly - this is a major advantage compared to other hotels where the lifts can take forever especially at peak times! If you have never tried this hotel then I would highly recommend it. Splash a little more cash and go for one of the club rooms facing the mosque and I'm sure you'd leave with images that would stay with you forever, Alhamdulillah. For me this hotel is worth every penny!
Arrived from Jeddah ready to perform our umrah.. requested baby cot and extra bed to be put in our room.. retuned from our umrah almost 4 hours later with two very tired children and no bed or cot! Waited another hour for them to arrive after numerous calls to reception and housekeeping.. requested an upgrade to a bigger room which we were happy to pay for, however we were swiftly told there was nothing available despite there showing availability on booking.com for bigger rooms/suites.. the rooms are small and the decor is somewhat dated.. The location however is perfect and having stayed in hotels connected to the mall previously, it is nice to avoid the crowds when returning to the hotel from the haram.. staff on check in were very welcoming to our two young boys.
Best hotel to stay when performing Umrah. Had previously stayed in Hyatt Regency Jabel omer, but Dar Al Tawhid takes the cake. Perfect in every way location , service, room , food and cleaniness. We had booked two rooms but were given two room suite which was huge. Breakfast selection was excellent. Thankyou very much for such a wonderfull experience. Hope to stay here again.
I’ve been to the intercontinental before but I’ve never in my life experienced such service. Is it because my expectations were so high? I mean that’s the level someone would expect from the intercontinental hotel. To start with, the staff need some serious training on attitude, starting with the reception staff. I had an issue with my reservation, even though I informed them that I am an IHG member the receptionist did not bother listening. The funny part is that they had trainees on the reception with no supervisor. I asked to speak with the manager and they ignored my request. Long story short, get some serious training on attitude and how to respect your customers. I hope that they understand the issue and resolve it. Ironically, before checking in with Dar Al Tawhid, I was staying at Dar Al Iman intercontinental which I liked and enjoyed. Two completely opposite experience. M.
This hotel is basically on the doorstep of the Haram. It was the perfect choice for my disabled grand children who traveled with. As a Royal Ambassador, extra pampering was afforded to me. I was upgraded to a suite. I was given complimentary access to Club Lounge. Salman, at the club lounge, ensured that we were specially served. The variety in the club lounge fur breakfast needs improvement. The hotel needs a revamping. Although there is age in the hotel, cleanliness is not compromised. Special thanks goes out to Yazeed Abu Harba who ensured that special care is given to me
