Welcome to “The Tree House”. Experience this unique home nestled in the trees directly across the street from the much-desired Silver Lake and Silver Lake Sand Dunes.

2 Hexagonal attached structures create this home built on pillars with multiple decks encircling it. Views of the Sand Dunes can be seen from the many windows.

Relax in the main home featuring a sunken living area enjoying a massive fieldstone fireplace. A circular staircase takes you to your own private loft with a queen bed. An open floor plan encompasses a kitchen, dining, and other gathering spaces all adjacent to a large bath with a small stackable washer and dryer. A large bedroom area with two separate areas for a sleeping house 3 queen beds and a private bathing area.

Enjoy the sun and all that Silver Lake has to offer as across the street and just a few cottages down is a 45' Silver Lake front sandy beach access called “Happy Acres”.

This almost 2-acre parcel of land has a large tennis court for tennis or pickleball.

A pull-through drive and another rear-drive offer ample parking for the many guests.

Silver Lake has high towering sand dunes, beautiful Silver Lake, Lake Michigan sandy beaches, Craigs Cruiser Dune Scooters, Little Point Sable Lighthouse and so much more.

Weekly reservations are for 6-7 days and ending day is on a Friday. So check in can be either Friday or Saturday, but checkout is on a Friday.
The cottage is heated and features a kitchen, 2 bathrooms, and a balcony, and there's space to spread out with 3 bedrooms. Other standard amenities include a washing machine, a fireplace, and a coffee maker.

Unique Vacation Rental

Nestled in the trees, overlooking the Silver Lake Sand dunes, we enjoyed a week long stay on this interesting property. The best parts included two Spacious bathrooms, the comfy sunken living room , the outdoor space with plenty of room for guests at the campfire and best of all the on site Pickleball court that we used daily. Our host was friendly and welcoming on our first day and had worked around the clock to clear debris from a recent storm before our arrival. Our family of six enjoyed a great week!

Great location - rustic & spacious

The property owners are very nice, we met them briefly. We stayed in late July, it was extremely warm and I was not aware this house did not have central air. There were a few cooling units but the house layout is spread out so much it's difficult to cool the living /kitchen area down, or the other bedroom areas, especially the upper loft (one of the bedrooms) was super hot. A whirlpool tub was listed as one of the amenities which I was really looking forward to, but it doesn't work. The photo of the silver lake beach access is a bit deceiving. In the photo it looks like you could hang out there and swim, but it's very small /narrow, not a swimming spot, and really mainly has a dock for where others keep their jet skis/boats, etc. You could launch a kayak from it though. The deck spaces are great, there is a pickle ball court on the property (bring your own pickle ball rackets/balls unless you make arrangements beforehand with the owner). Keep in mind, you'll hear/see a lot of traffic, it's off a busy road but there are tall trees and so it feels somewhat secluded at the same time. It's an older house, showers are maybe warm/maybe not, but I get the impression the new owner is working on improvements. Neat place, but it felt pricey based on no central air and not all amenities were available.

Tree House Mansion

My kids called it a Tree House Mansion! It was perfect for my bigger family. Steve came in person on the first full day to make sure all was well with us, that was a nice touch! There were plenty of towels, bedding, and other supplies that were needed. My family wants to go back ASAP! Thanks a bunch Steve!
