Perfect stay

Our family of 2 adults and 2 teens had the perfect stay at Red Cedar Retreat! The home is tucked away towards the back of Massanutten Resort, but had easy access to all of the resort amenities. The home was clean and welcoming, and had everything we needed for our stay. We would absolutely stay here again.

Family Friends Ski Trip

We had a wonderful time at Red Cedar! The house was perfect for our family and children. The bedrooms had plenty of space and beds were very comfortable. The organization and accommodation's in this house are like none we have every experienced. They have everything you could need covered from pots & pans, tupperware for leftovers, towels, charging cords, games, toiletries you name it and this house has you covered. We look forward to our next stay at Red Cedar.

Impecable Property

We were blown away by the cleanliness and organization of this property. Owners have anticipated every possible need for renters. Decor is lovely and loved the seasonal accents. Great location… close to Massanutten activities. It felt like home away from home. I highly recommend this property!

Love, love, love this Mountain House

My husband and I traveled with our seven year old and her grandma. We couldn’t say anything better about this house. It’s literally the best rental we’ve ever stayed in. Everyone has their own kind size bed. Fully stocked with extra dishwashing detergent, trash bags, TP and paper towels (normally you have to go buy this stuff). They even provided some bottles of water and a nice selection of snacks, coffee and tea! My daughter loved the shuffleboard and Ms. Pac-Man. We came during the off season not realizing most of the resort was only open 12-4 on weekends but we still found plenty of activities within driving distance. 10/10!

This was the perfect house for my family. Spacious, newly renovated, clean and well equipped. The kids loved the game/movie room and we all enjoyed the complimentary coffee/tea and snacks! The screen porch and creek out back was nice, too. Communication with the owner was quick and easy. We hope to come back someday!

Perfect!

The house is in a quiet and peaceful setting yet convenient to attractions both within snd outside the resort. The kitchen is fully equipped and the living areas are comfortably furnished. The game room and screen porch are nice additions.

Another Great Experience

This was our second stay with the whole family and everyone had a great time. From the waterpark to the other entertainment of the Resort to the comfort of the home, this one is a winner. Everyone was comfortable and could relax. The home is fully stocked to make cooking and eating in easy. The deer were everywhere, especially in the neighborhood. We highly recommend this one and we'll be back again.

Red Cedar Retreat most definitely!

This home was a wonderful experience for us. It is peaceful and on a quiet street. Plenty of deer sightings! The house was nice and clean (and I'm very particular) and allowed for different spaces of peace and quiet of you have kids. Masanutten has lots of amenties buy we preferred to stay in the home most of the time for the comfortability. The beds were comfortable. Many different things that helped with the stay were full kitchen and pans and dishes, seasonings, kitchen tools, and even back up trash bags and paper towels. The only 2 things that were a minor inconvenience were the water pressure in the showers weren't great but sufficient and the latches on the doors were a little loud and could be heard through the house. It wasn't the worst thing since we wanted to know when our kids got up, but others might not like it. Plenty of comfy blankets and the tea and hot chocolate packets were awesome! We loved this home so much and it was hard to leave! Definitely a top pick for us.

Very well kept property, and very clean. Well thought out added touches including: Coffee, Tea, hot chocolate, snacks, well stocked kitchen, dog bowls, phone chargers and more. My family loved the game room, and the snacks were an added bonus for 3 teen/college age boys. Host was very attentive. Ski Resort is very close by, and we had an amazing time on our first family ski trip. We plan to book again next year!

This home offered the perfect family get away from start to finish! we would return in a heartbeat! From the welcoming note from the company to their instant response to communication-we were so impressed. Not only was the home decorated beautifully for Christmas and each room had the most welcoming family friendly decor- the layout was ideal for a family with active kids and a furbaby.

The Red Cedar Retreat house was very nice. It is located within a great resort that provided many amenities. The host/manager of the house, VPMS, were very responsive and attentive - highly recommend them!

Red Cedar Retreat

This was a great home with lots of extras. The game room was lots of fun with many games and a shuffleboard table enabling us to have several tournaments while visiting. The game room and living room areas both included large televisions which allows for people to choose different viewing options. The kitchen was amazing and we appreciated the available spices, paper products, and extras included with the rental. The outdoors also had several areas available including a nice fire table area and a private screened in porch. It was a really nice relaxing home and as a bonus didn't have a steep driveway or loads of step to enter the home. Consider this home if you are looking for a fun getaway.

Magical

Wow! What a wonderful place to stay. I would have booked more days if I knew how enjoyable this property was. The home is very comfortable, well-stocked, and so relaxing. Due to the weather, we could only use the screened porch but it was very nice. The kids loved the game room, there are plenty of games to keep folks busy. The Resort is wonderful, and we enjoyed the Waterpark, even though it was only inside. The home is on a cul-de-sac. The Beds were very comfortable. Our dachshund's complaint was too many steps, but he's old. 😉 I highly recommend this property and want to come back to enjoy more of the Resort as well. Don't pass this one by. WARNING: Be careful, the Map App, under the shortest route, will run you off course, which ends in a dead end. It's a pain, just be careful.
